"We have to be sly with these creatures because they're sneaky and make sure that we're not bit by any of them" Klaus said not noticing the discomfort of the girl beside him.

She had let go of his hand and was now just staring at the numerous tents in front of them where the serpents habitated.

"Are you ready Aella?" he turned to finally look at her and finally noticed the discomfort and fear playing on her features.

"No am not ready Klaus, you have to tell me what we're doing before making plans like bringing us to a snakes den" she glanced back at the tents with horror.

"What about you stay here while I go and deal with them, am sorry for being inconsiderate " his gaze on her softened but she hesitated at his suggestion.

She was scared, yes, but she couldn't let him go all alone since he initially believed that they would do whatever they were supposed to do, together AND she didn't want to be left all alone.

Who knew what was lurking in bushes?

"What are you planning on doing?"

"We have to kill these reptiles since they are connected to Terrence and they might come to rescue him when he calls unto them, we can't be having any lose ends when we go there" he said glancing back at the tents still in deep thought.

"I am-" she fidgeted with her hands at her back, "scared Klaus"

He looked at her then walked closer to her filling the space between them, "Do you want to always be behind me or in other cases, behind other people?"

"No?"

"I need you to overcome any sort of fear including that of these petty snakes" he continued the statement with a small kiss on her forehead.

"After this we have to deal with Terrence and all this is over and we can go back home, ok?"

"Ok what should I do?" she gathered up her carriage and readied herself to accompany him.

He believed her so why shouldn't she believe in herself.

She couldn't be scared forever and she was about to go meet her father and he was just but a human, he had nothing against her since she was more powerful.

She was way more powerful than him.

"We're just going to set this whole place aflame but we need to make sure that they're all here so that's why I sent Bethany first " he explained but she was yet to grasp his idea.

"Explain Klaus "

"Come with me" he pulled her through the thickets and finally to an opening that showed the insides of the camp. A rider on a horse alighted from the horse and immediately walked into a tent.

Later on, all individuals from different tents went into the main tents leaving the rest of the tents empty.

"And this is where you come in, you'll set those on fire and leave the main tent to me is that ok?"

"Yes but-" she hesitated thinking about the families of the creatures in the main tent. They had done nothing wrong for this sort of conviction, "What about their families?"

"They don't have families, at least these ones don't, let's go time is running out" Klaus fished out a lighter from his pocket and lit a torch that had been in his grasp from his other hand.

She handed it to her after lighting it then his hand went around her waist pulling her closer.

She gasped since the action was unexpected as she held on to him.

Klaus winnowed to to the entrance of the camp site.

"Start from over here till that last one, I'll be right over there now go on" she let go then went on to complete her task.

Klaus winnowed to where he promised he would be.

Her task was easy so she was done in no time.

"Good job my love, now let's finish this" she watched as his eyes brightened up and reflected the flames from the tent behind her.

Dark smoke could be seen from miles away.

She smiled in agreement. Alot of noise from the inside followed their words.

Alarm crossed Aella's features then one member walked out of the tent with a cigarette in fixed between his two fingers and white smoke left his mouth.

He must have come out to smoke. His eyes were set downcast but when he heard the crackling of flames from the other tents.

Just when he wanted to walk back, Klaus winnowed in front him and offered him a smile.

"Go on my dear, I'll deal with him"

Klaus's hand wrapped around the man's throat just before he transformed or bit him although he would be immune to the snakes poison.

After setting the embers of the tent on fire she walked back and found the man tied laying on the ground.

Klaus was holding a glass vial with a colourless liquid in it.

"What's that?" she asked dropping the torch of fire on the tent. It was still eerily quiet and she really wondered how the creatures inside the tent hadn't heard what was happening outside.

"A mixture of lemongrass and wormwood" he finally looked at her with a smile, "snakes are scared of these and when we pour it all around like you did with the fire, they won't even escape"

She looked at the tent worriedly, "Why haven't they reacted yet, shouldn't we here some noise?"

"Do you remember when we officially came here to Dalotopia with Ava?"

"Yes I do"

"Remember, that night you were running from The Bandits and they had set the house on fire then we met later on"

Her memories were blurred, she hadn't actually remembered that the house had been burnt when they were there for the wedding.

"Did you rebuild the house?"

"It was rebuild when we were with Noona, so, as I was saying, these creatures have relations with the Bandits so they perform some sort of ritual and almost all of them are rogues so am sure they're yet to find out, their hearing skills are poor."

"Ooh, should I?" she reached for the glass vial, he willingly gave it to her.

"Be careful"

She dismissed him with a shrug then went to complete her other task.
