Third Person's Pov

—Bar—

The party was peaceful as time went by.

The celebrant is talking to the owner of the bar and to some business partners. On the other hand, some guests are also introducing themselves or friends to their other friends.

This is how social parties for rich people work. They socialist, not losing the opportunity to expand their connection.

The staff in charge on the floor including Dara are assisting the guests while Chuck and other bartenders are at the bar counter.

The flow of the party is going smoothly. Dara decides to go to Chuck's location while observing the guests she can assist.

"Hey! Still good?" Chuck immediately asked as soon as Dara reached his location.

"I'm good, just feeling the alcohol again," Dara answered, not looking at him.

There's no customer at the counter so they can talk for a while.

"Do you want another drink?" Chuck offered, looking at her while wiping the glass for wine.

"No, it's ok. I'm pretty fine," she refused because she knew she couldn't drink now and there was a possibility that someone might see her being lazy.

"Ok, if you say so," Chuck simply said.

A second later, one of their co-workers, Steve, approaches them.

"Dara!" He called.

"Do you need anything?" She asked immediately.

"The head chef is looking for us. It's time to give the gift we prepared for the celebrant," he explained.

"Ow,ok," Dara immediately said her goodbye to Chuck. "We're gonna go,bye bye".

Chuck nodded as a sign that he agreed. Dara and Steve headed to the kitchen to pick up the gift.

When they reach the kitchen, two big fancy seafood are lined up at the long stainless table.

The celebrant likes to order seafood and the bar prepared a fancy dish just for him today.

"Good and you're finally here. Dara? Steve? Can you guys be the representative and give the bar's presents for Mr. Earlyseven," the head chef instructed.

"Hmm, sure but I'm just a little concerned for Dara. Can she carry it?" Steve asked the chef, minding to offend him.

The place is massive for Dara to carry plus the weight of seafood that makes it even heavier.

"Hmm, what do you think? Can you do it?" The chef looked at her, asking.

"Can I try?" Dara asked.

They let her try the smaller one but it was still big for her. Luckily, she made it and thinks she can do it.

"I think I can carry it to their table," Dara answered. She's still good and not feeling the alcohol she took earlier.

The crew assisted Dara until the entrance door by carrying the plate first. They can't use a push cart because it's too big for the gap from the table to fit.

In order for the crew to approach Mr. Earlyseven, they need to pass 3 tables with guests

Dara and one of the crew members are on their way to present the bar's gift when something unexpected happens.

The girl sitting on the first table, near the celebrant, immediately pushes Dara away when they reach her.

"Wahhh!" the girl shouted, hysterically as if she saw a ghost.

Dara can handle her balance but because of the girl's reaction, she lost her balance completely and accidentally dropped the plate. The seafood and plates were mixed and scattered on the floor.

Dara feels the adrenaline rush on her body and immediately picks up the broken plate. She flicked when she injured herself but didn't stop, thinking that it didn't hurt at all.

The other staff including Ms. A was startled when they saw what happened.

"What did you do!?" the man on the girl's side said in anger.

Ms. A immediately approaches them and intervenes.

''Stand up. Don't worry, we'll clean this,'' her co-workers stopped her and secretly whispered as they cleaned the mess.

"We're really sorry, we didn't mean to-"  Ms. A apologized to the man but didn't have the chance to finish her word when the man slapped Dara.

All the staff were shocked, including Ms. A. Dara doesn't know what to do. She just stood there, looking down while her right cheek was turning red.

"How dare you do this to her? Didn't you know that she was allergic to seafood? What if that thing touches her?" The man angrily said.

"I-I'm sorry," Dara only said. She was so embarrassed about the humiliation but the girl didn't stop and mock her.

"You don't know that I'm allergic to that! Didn't you know who I am? I can make you lose everything you have!" she shouted, pointing her finger at her.

The commotion caught the attention of all the guests including the birthday celebrant and the owner of the bar.

"What happened, Ms. Dian?" Mr. Earlyseven asked when they reached the place where the communion was.

It turned out that the girl who was furious was Ms. Dian Lee. The city mayor's daughter.

"I caught this girl trying to serve us seafood that I'm allergic to. I know she's trying to kill me," Ms. Dian explains.

"But that's not true!" Ms. A tried to protect Dara but the owner shook his head. The person in front of her is no good. Her family is too powerful for them to fight.

Ms. A look piss off but she can't do anything about it.

Dara doesn't know what to do. Her brain did not function properly. She's not angry, not about to cry or anything. She was confused, not thinking of anything.

"I apologize on behalf of her," the owner immediately said. "Don't worry, we're going to take responsibility for what happened and will answer your hospital bill if needed, we're really sorry," he added.

Dara wants to defend herself but is afraid that the situation might get worse. She just stood there not understanding a single thing without showing any reaction.

"No! I won't let this slide! I swear! I will make sure that you will lose your job and won't get any for the rest of your life," Ms. Dian said with a threatening voice.

"No, please," Dara said worriedly when she realized what was going to happen. She can't lose her job.

"Stop Dara!" The owner said with authority.

"Dara please, let us handle this. Wait for me at the staff room," Ms. A whispered, tapping her shoulder.

Even though she didn't want to, she was forced to leave the place.

What happened has not yet sunk in to her as she walked outside the venue.

After leaving, Dara sat on the terrace of the bar where there was no one and watched the dark sky.

"There's no stars today," she said to herself, looking at the sky.

Dara feel down but she understands the woman's side. Allergies should not be taken lightly, especially in those with serious conditions. Some can cause blood pressure to drop suddenly and the airways narrow, blocking breathing that can lead them to death.

One of it is her considering the offer of becoming an actress. Until recently she didn't even know what to do because of the silence and coldness of the weather. She was able to get an answer.

'Considering what just happened today, I know for sure that they will fire me. Maybe it's a sign from the start that I should resign from my part time jobs and accept the offer. In this way, I can save enough money for Eli and we won't live like this again,' she thought to herself, not thinking of cursing the girl or what.

A few minutes later, she decided to finally go inside and wait for the party to end. She can't go home yet cause she still needs to face Ms. A and the owner.
