Achilles landed on top of the spider thanks to some crazy miracle, and also his essences.

The first thing he did after landing safely was summon out his artifact. He let Sia take the Water and said:

[Drink it. It should help you recover.]

The latter nodded her head and started gulping it down multiple times. A while later, she stopped drinking and her power began restoring at a quick pace.

Although the artifact was valuable and could only be used ten times before needed to charge again, Achilles felt no regret since Sia's assistance would be required in the upcoming battle, he couldn't wait until she regains her full power at a natural pace when their lives were on the line.

As Achilles scanned his surroundings, he noticed multiple lumps started appearing on the Mother Spider, those lumps eventually burst, revealing a bunch of spiderlings that quickly surrounded him.

He sighed a little, then gripped tightly onto the axe before lunging at the spiderling in front of him.

With one kick of his feet, the tiny spider got obliterated into small pieces. But the monster's limbs quickly put themselves back together and stood again, as if nothing had happened.

Achilles didn't pay attention to this since he knew these things were immortal as long as the Mother lived.

He only wanted to clear a path to get to the large wound on the Mother's body.

As he kept running across the spider's enormous body, multiple spiderlings jumped at him, intending to tear his corpse apart. Others kept their distance and fired webs, venom, and acid in order to attack.

Achilles had to demonstrate his maneuver to dodge, roll, and jump to avoid the deadly attack while keeping Sia safe so that she could restore her essences without any problem.

The task was extremely difficult and demanded a great deal of concentration. One slip-up and the two would be as good as dead.

But it was not entirely impossible, his strength and reflexes, along with a little luck were enough to keep him alive, albeit barely.

[Argh!] An acid strike hit his leg which made his face winced up a little in pain.

The armor of his leg slowly got corroded and the acid began eating up his skin, revealing his muscles.

Despite the pain, he still held on as he kept dashing to where the wound was.

'The other spiderlings at the tower didn't catch up to me yet?' He muttered before directing his gaze to the skyscraper.

It was at that moment that he noticed the spiderlings seemed to be fighting off against something.

A blast of fire suddenly burst within the group of spiders before some of them fell, but the others swiftly replaced them in just seconds.

[Is that...?] Achilles muttered as a surprised expression appeared on his face.

The cavalry had arrived!

'Wonderful! I trust that you take care of them for me boys!'

With the help of this unknown backup, the burden on his shoulder would be lessened and the possibility of killing the Higher Surpassed would increase.

Eventually, he managed to reach the spider's current weakness. But before he could celebrate, the Mother Spider let out a scream that made his ears bled a little.

[Argh!]

The ground — or the body beneath him suddenly swayed around and made him nearly lose his foothold.

[Wait! What's going o-]

BOOM!

The spider smashed its body directly onto the building, dragging Achilles and Sia to endure the impact together with it. The duo let out pained screams due to the sudden concussion.

[Gargh!]

[Kyah!]

Achilles used his axe and buried it deep into the spider's flesh, then he mustered all the strength in his arms to grip the axe and the little succubus tightly.

If his guess was correct, then the spider was about to...

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The Corrupted rammed itself onto multiple buildings in an attempt to shake the two stubborn humans off. It seemed that the abomination had sensed that its life was in mortal danger and decided to take a drastic method.

Achilles held firmly onto the axe without letting go and shielded Sia from most of the attacks.

His body was full of bruises and cuts, his brain felt dizzy like he just had a hangover. In any case, it was not a good feeling.

'Stop doing that you piece of shit!' Achilles screamed his mind as the Corrupted continued to crash its body onto everything.

A while later, the constant impact came to a sudden halt and Achilles opened his eyes.

The monster had destroyed all the nearby buildings so it couldn't shake the humans off by force anymore.

"KYARGHH!!!" It let out another scream as the nearby spiderlings from the tower and its body began crawling to where the couple was.

Achilles used all his remaining strength to climb up and stood still on the body again.

[I'm going to kill this thing now. Hold on a little longer.]

The spiderlings at this point were about to jump at him and eat him whole when suddenly...

[Kneel!] Achilles' red eyes shone crazily as he used his skill on the spider.

The result was wonderful as the spiderlings halted their movements and fell down like stringless puppets. The Mother had also frozen and was unable to do anything.

Without wasting any single second, he raised his fearsome axe high, and with one violent motion, he swung it down mercilessly.

BOOM!

"KYARGHH!!" The Mother Spider screamed painfully at the terrifying strike.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Achilles struck the Mother's weak point continuously like there was no tomorrow. He did not give a damn about anything else that was happening around him since he did not afraid shit!

He knew for a fact that the Mother Spider couldn't possibly control the spiderlings when it was in so much pain like this.

After what seemed like an eternity, he channeled all of his remaining essences and smash down one last time. His eyes glowed crazily while muttering:

[Go to hell.]
