The Shadow started moving again as it dragged its deformed limbs on the floor. Then it began picking up its pace and sprinted toward him.
Achilles knew that there was nowhere to run, so he had no choice but to confront the beast head-on.
His grip on the axe was shaking because of the wounds on his arm muscles. He wasn't sure if he could hold on much longer.
The two clashed with each other as the Shadow swung its axe, aiming to decapitate him.
Achilles deflected the attack with a tense expression. He needed to ensure to not let his arms suffer from too much strain, otherwise, they would be torn to pieces.
As the monster failed to reach him, it moved his other axe and attacked him from another angle. Achilles barely avoided that move without letting himself get gutted like a fish.
