The new professors (2)

When we arrived at the lunch table, I could spot three other people on there.

Namely, two men and a woman.

All of them looked unique in some way, practically screaming that they were some special person.

"Alright guys, I brought Mr.Voidwalker with me."

Mrs. Flora sounded enthusiastic as she sat down beside the other woman. And Baal-hamon decided to sit on the other side.

I chose to sit beside Mrs. Flora, as there was no other free seat left.

"Now that we're all here, we can start the introduction round."

"Indeed! We already ordered the food, so it's a good way to kill time until them."

One of the men, a dwarf, said as he laughed.

"My name is Ustraer Axebrew and I am in charge of blacksmithing and weapon reparation."

'A dwarf blacksmith. How cliche.'

Dwarf were known as renowned blacksmiths and machine builders, so I wasn't really surprised by his part of expertise.

The round then continued, the next man standing up and shaking everyone's hands.

The next man was a scrawny elf.

His grip felt loose, and the way he kept tapping with his fingers signalled to me that he wasn't a very confident person.

I couldn't really blame him for that, though.

Considering how elf men were treated in the Elven society, confidence issues were not uncommon among men.

"My name is Eldrin Virzeiros. I am in charge of magic theory and casting."

The next man was the complete opposite of the previous man. His very presence spoke for him, as his sole existence radiated charisma and confidence.

"My name is Baal-hamon Ibrahim, the grand prince of Warka! I am in charge of the art of summoning familiars and the way of using them to fight."

He paused before crossing his arms and flashing a confident smile as he looked down at the ground.

"My father, the great King of Warka, ordered me to familiarize myself with the culture outside of my Kingdom. And what better way is there than to directly experience it in the western Empire?"

"That certainly explains the way you acted."

I looked over at him, creating direct eye contact,

"Does everybody on the eastern continent act like that?"

Even though I travelled to many places as a mercenary, I never got a job that required me to the eastern continent.

I was quite curious about how the people on the eastern continent lived, but I decided to refrain from asking questions for now.

After all, I could still ask him questions later.

"No, of course not. Only I, the great Baal-hamon, possess the permission to act like this! Even the emperor is not allowed to possess the same attitude as me, as his greatness is not at the same level as mine."

"Is that so?"

I wondered what the reason for his unshakeable confidence was.

At first, I thought that it was just because he was a proud person, but now I wondered if there was more to it.

After all, claiming to be greater than their emperor was certainly not something a person would do if they didn't have a good reason for it.

However, this wasn't the time to satiate my curiosity and ask him about such things.

I wanted to ask him more questions about that later, in private.

After Baal-hamon finished speaking, the next person started to speak up.

This time, it was a woman, a succubus, to be exact.

The succubus was an attractive woman, almost as tall as me.

She had long orange hair that looked similar to the color of low-level hellfire and striking red eyes that burned with a fiery passion.

"My name is Mhyrrelle."

She spoke in a deep, seductive voice as she gestured to herself.

Her eyes trailed around the group, stopping at Baal-hamon, licking her lips.

"Don't look at me like that with those filthy eyes, you wench."

Ball-hamon grimaced, glaring at Mhyrrelle with a disgusted look. An expression of disdain could be seen on his face.

"I apologize, Mr. Ibrahim. You just looked really energetic...almost like a tasty snack..."

She snickered menacingly before continuing to speak.

"Anyway, I trailed off. I am in charge of dark magic and illusion magic."

Mhyrrelle then stopped talking as all the attention turned to the next woman.

While Mhyrrelle could be described as devilish and seductive, Mrs. Flora seemed like the complete opposite of it. Wholesome and adorable.

They were like fox and rabbit.

"I'm Rumia Flora and I am in charge of Alchemy. It's nice to meet you all."

She then flashed a refreshing smile, filling the atmosphere with warmness.

And then, once again, the pattern repeated.

Everyone stared at me with expectations in their eyes.

"I'm Zenith Voidwalker. I'm in charge of combat theory and practice and depths theory."

I tried to keep it as short as possible, not wanting to waste anymore time on this dragged-out introduction round.

Everybody at the table looked at me with either admiration or amusement.

I could already feel the barrage of questions coming, so I decided to cut them off with an excuse to leave this useless introduction round finally.

"I'm sorry to disappoint you all, but there are still some things that I have to prepare, so I'll excuse myself for now. It was good to get to know you all."

And with that sentence, I left, fully knowing that I had lied.
