Rau said nothing. It was a logical reasoning but it certainly didn't apply to Inja—all the more reason for him to stay close to the third year. Compassionate towards Yomo, he moved closer to him and hugged him gently.

"I'm sorry I got scared and ignored you. I'm sorry I kissed you and disappeared without saying anything," he said gently, rubbing the convalescent's back.

Still a little dazed by their conversation, Yomo let himself go without saying anything. He savoured the moment, healing the bleeding wounds that had opened up over the past few weeks. He returned his embrace and rested his chin on his shoulder, finally letting go with relish.
