"What was that you said? she agreed to keep a scumbag alive" Cato growled as we got into the light again
"Nothing that should matter to you, chief's dog" I smirked
"Keep your lips straight next time I see it smirk I won't hesitate to wipe it off your face" I looked up at that voice It belonged to Aurelia she was sitting high on the stairs of a certain tree house. It didn't look like the other ones it was huge, dark and dusty I was certain that no one used it in years
"Try me," I said
"Fox in a tiger's disguise aren't we minister?" She stood up and climb down the stairs
"A hunter I would say" I smiled as I saw her smile drop
"Yo-you don't mean it" She stuttered For the first time I recognized the fear in her voice
"I don't see why not?" I calmly said before I get her to reply a dagger was thrown at my face. Dang, I tilted my head to dodge it.
"Kid that's not something to play with" I sighed
"Whatever it is, Aurelia stay low your mother will kill me if something happens to him." Cato sounded panicked I followed his gaze and looked at her. Her eyes glowed yellow. No one warned me about this. She yanked off Cato and marched towards me
"Kid whatever you're cooking up in your mind erase it. It won't work." She threw another dagger at me this time I caught it.
"I did warn you" I reminded her "genua" I whispered
Her knees touched the ground her hands got tied in the back
"Show's over. Let's go, Peter Pan" I turned to astonished Cato
"What did you do to her?" he gasped I chuckled at his reaction.
"Just a little bit of hocus pocus, Care to lead me?" I asked him like an obedient kid, and he nodded. He climbed those dusty spiral staircases where Aurelia was sitting and I followed him.
"You are a mystique?" He asked in a low tone.
"Dad was, quite followed his footsteps," I said.
"Never imagined a mystique as a Minister," He said as he pulled out the keys from his pocket
"We have a mystique as Duke" His face became pale when I said that. Okay I hit the nerve
"Never talk about him in here, People hate him to the core." He said with a hint of sadness
"Do you?" I asked.
He didn't reply he opened the door and entered
"Be careful" He turned around
"Is this how you treat your guests?" I asked
"Be grateful you're living with the chief in this house people die to enter here" He replied without turning back. "I didn't mean it Peter Pan you know what I meant," I said
"I don't hate I just feel disgusted by him, " Cato left. I sighed, No change in them still the same hatred and fury.
I sat down by the riverside, today was exhausting, A mystique in the Royals, the scrolls were just rubbish, and they planted a spy in a group of assassins. They are playing with us.
"You gotta be kidding me" I heard a whining
"I have no time to mess around" I replied without turning around
"If you find the water so interesting why don't you jump in it?" She sat beside me
"What are you so moody about?" I asked as I finally looked at her she looked pale and terrified
"You let a hunter in, Last time when there was a hunter in us things didn't go so well" I sighed
"This time the hunter didn't join us he's just left alive just because I owe him," I said
"Owes him?" She asked with widened eyes
"Let's get some decent sleep" I stood and walked towards our tree and she stayed behind
In the dark royal dungeon, a girl in her early teen was resting her head on the iron rods of the cell, she had raven hair and yellow eyes her face was pale and innocent. Her mother was healing her thumbs she was a woman in her late thirties her face had the same features as her daughter's except for the yellow eyes her eyes were blue and calm and her face was hard and composed. Her little sobs echoed through the dungeons as her mother healed her thumb.
"Be quiet the pain is for a while but..." Her mother stopped for her daughter to continue when she got nothing but silence in response she twisted the poor girl's thumb
"Slavery is for eternity" The little girl groaned in pain
"You can't learn anything by staying weak, This world and people need a warrior Lilith, not an elegant princess. " The woman said
"I know Mother. " Lilith said with a low tone
"Knowing isn't enough Lilly, They will always find a way to rule over you until you learn to fight back," She said with a stern voice but soft eyes. Footsteps were heard, Lilith hid behind her mother, shadows appeared, and a man appeared with a soldier. He was tall and healthy, but he had a long scar on his face starting from his left eyebrow managed to damage the side of his lips, his eyes were hazel brown, and had honey-blonde hair.
"How are you doing, My friend?" He whispered
"Friend? Why so desperate to corrupt that sacred word?" The women asked
"My dear Thea, Are you so ready to embrace death?" He bent down to meet the woman's eye
"If death is the price for freedom I'm very willing to do that," Thea said
"Your wish" He left the soldier took out his sword and
"MOTHER!" I woke up, I was not in that old and rusty dungeon I'm sitting on my bed. I calmed myself as recalling the reality
