Episode 5: Seems like home.

"Are you expecting someone?" Bella inquired with an arched brow, but Samara shook her head.

"I'm not expecting anyone either, then who was knocking? No one has knocked on my door for a while now." Bella whispered and stepped down from her bed.

Bella marched towards the door and opened it. The person she saw was the least she was expecting to see standing by her door. "Jake?" She whispered in a shocking tone and stepped forward while closing the door.

"I couldn't find Nita, so I had to bring the clothes and uniform myself." Jake spoke while Bella nodded. "But, I want to give the clothes to your roommate myself." He added, and she looked at her with beady eyes.

"Alright, cool. I will get her." Bella replied and walked into the room, there she sighted Samara lying on the bed while wrapping her arms around herself.

"Hey, is your call. Someone wants to see you, so get up." Bella uttered and Samara arched her brows while sitting on the bed.

"What? My call? Who is it?" Samara asked quickly while trying to guess who was at the door.

"Go see for yourself. Don't keep him waiting." She added and hop on her bed.

Samara heard the word 'he' and she thought it was the masked man. Who would seek for her at this time of the day? She was new here and had no single friend. It would definitely be the leader. She thought and slowly opened the door after rubbing her palms together.

There and then, she popped her eyes opened when she sighted that same person she was trying to drool on earlier. Christ! Was she hallucinating? Is the image of Jake displaying on the leader's face.

She was drawn back to reality when she felt his soft hands tapped her on the shoulder. "Hey, you're Samara, right?" He questioned, and she nodded, unable to say a word.

"Here are your clothes, and this one at the end is your uniform. We do wear them on Monday for classes." He said, and she took hold of the clothes from him and lowered her gaze to the ground.

"Welcome to Warlington, Samara." He added. "I have to leave now, see you by morning." He whispered and turned to leave, while she stood there and stared until he was out of sight.

Then it dawns on her, what did he just say? War.war…ling.ton? She stammered.

Where is this place? She has never heard of a town called Warlington. And her body cringe, she was definitely far away from the orphanage, and it seems like there was no way she could escape from a place she doesn't know about.

Her countenance changed, but she blushed a little when she recalled how soft his hands felt on her shoulder. "Gosh! Get it together, Samara." She warned herself and stepped into the room.

Then she noticed the lights were on, the place was bright and sparkling. It was then, she noticed how beautiful the room was, though it was somewhat small for two people. "I thought you were going to take forever in getting those clothes." Bella said and Samara jolted.

"Jeez! I thought you were asleep already." Samara replied and dragged her legs to her bed and kept the clothes on it. "Have you been staying alone for two years?" Samara pressed further.

"No! I had a roommate. We came to this school the same day, but she was later on chosen as the girl's leader, more like an assistant to Jake. She has her room now." Bella added and took in a deep breath while pushing the duvet to the other end.

"Oh! Cool." Samara muttered. She noticed Bella's blank expression, and she felt she wasn't pleased with her old roommate leaving the room.

"Where can I keep these clothes?" Samara asked slowly as she focused her eyes on Bella who was trying to select a book from her little bookshelves which was close to her bed.

"You can keep them inside the closet. Besides, the closet isn't made for one person." She whispered and took hold of a book while dusting the cover.

"You don't look so happy. Did I say anything wrong? Or I'm I asking too many questions?" Samara inquired in a low cadence.

"To be honest, yes, you ask a lot of questions, but that's not the problem. I hate it whenever I talk about my former roommate. She was a bitch, pain in the ass." She cursed and Samara nodded.

"I see, sorry about that." Samara whispered and climbed into her bed gently. She tried to get some sleep before morning.

The loud sound from the telecom woke them up and Bella groaned while muttering cursed words. "I hate weekdays." She said loudly and threw the duvet to the floor.

Samara yawned and sat upright on the bed, though she felt like she hasn't slept enough because she has been up trying to figure out her life and what to expect from a new environment.

"You would want to stop thinking and go take a bath. The Leader is ruthless when it comes to late coming." Bella voiced out, making fear wash through Samara's body.

After an hour, the two girls were done dressing and Samara was already having second thoughts about the place. She was so curious on what was going to happen that day and wanted to avoid asking Bella questions.
