CHAPTER 12.

"Quinn, stand still."

I sighed for the millionth time as a number of maids worked around me. Some pulling my hair, Another doing makeup, Then few more fitting me into my wedding dress.

Today was the day I get married to the stupid asshole named Xavier.

"Can someone get her a glass of water?! She seems like shes about to pass out." Did I mention Laura was here? As Xavier's PA, He asked her to make sure I was ready. I hadn't seen him since the day we stayed the night at his place.

My stuff had already been moved to his house much to my annoyance. Couldn't I stay with my parents for a while?

The water arrived but I rejected it. Don't know about anyone else but I wasn't about to be poisoned today. Instead, I asked for Rissa to get me water herself. That way if I die, I can haunt her. It would be fun.

My dress was magnificent and I was proud since I had picked it myself. It was a long sleeved dress with a full under skirt. The chest area was designed with sequins and stones above a transparent fabric. The skirt had a shimmer to it each time I moved. I was absolutely in love with it. If only I could wear it often.

My mother and Rosie walked in with my Dad. I smiled at them trying to look happy.

"You look absolutely stunning my child!" Mum said and hugged me. Rosie smiled pulling me into her arms. "You are so Beautiful." She whispered.

"Thank you." I said to them. I was finally ready. Rissa helped put my shawl on and I made my way to my father.

"My Sunshine. You look gorgeous today. My little gemstone." He said. Not wanting to cry at his sweet words, He pulled me into a hug.

"Thanks Dad." I said. Everyone else proceeded into the Hall except for my bridesmaids and myself along with my dad.

I had chosen Rissa, Faith and Laura unfortunately to be my bridesmaids. Rissa's little sister, Corinna or Rinna for short was my Little flower girl with Lucas as the ring bearer.

"You ready?" My dad whisper and I shrugged.

"No, but does it matter?"

The music was our cue and we proceeded into the Hall. The place was filled with people and media reporters taking pictures and videos.

I tried picturing what my actual wedding could've been like when it hit me.

I had to kiss Xavier.

Pushing aside my panic, I smiled as people from the crowd waved at me.

I looked straight ahead at Xavier. I had to admit, I missed his stupid face. He was dressed impeccably in a suit that compliments my dress. He had a smile on his face but I couldn't tell if it was real or not.

My father placed my hand in Xavier's and I felt a shiver run down my spine. I smiled at him, albeit fake as we turned to the priest that would be joining us in holy matrimony.

I skipped out on whatever the priest was saying and just stared at Xavier. I recognized Jace as his best man. The other two, I didn't know.

"Now, Do you Xavier Lev Sterling take Quinn Rae Andrews to be your lawfully wedded wife?"

"I do." Xavier answered and I let out a breath. What would happen if I said No?

"And do you Quinn Rae Andrews take Xavier Lev Sterling to be your lawfully wedded husband?"

"I...."

Everyone looked at each other in fear.

I paused and the air grew tense.

With a huge smile breaking out on my face, I answered.

I probably heard the priest sigh in relief as well as everyone else.

"I do!!" I knew I probably gave everyone a heart attack. There was no fun in just straight up saying yes.

"I now pronounce you Husband and wife! You may kiss the bride!"

Xavier stepped closer and lifted my chin.

"Can I kiss you?" I found it shocking that he was still asking for my permission.

I simply gave a nod and he leaned down and connected his lips with mine. The kiss was slow and nothing rushed and I wrapped my hands around his neck loving every second of it. This was our first kiss and probably the last. Enjoy it while you can, My grandma would say.

We pulled away and I blushed as bright as a tomato as everyone applauded.

"I present to you Mr and Mrs Sterling!"
