CHAPTER 19.

XAVIER POV:

I couldn't control my anger and I hate it. Why was it affecting me so much? I've told myself severally that I don't like Quinn and failed to come to terms with it.

She's annoying sometimes, sounds overly smart, funny, beautiful and the list goes on and on. I was drawn to her in a way which I've never experienced and it scares me. I didn't want to like her. I wanted to hate her and hurt her but I couldn't.

I drove away from the shop without saying a word to her. Thankfully, Jace was already in my office waiting as I had called earlier.

I would usually make small talk with any employees I ran into but today I ignored everyone, even Laura till I was in the confines of my office where Jace was. In anger I threw the office lamp on my table at the wall as it shattered to pieces. Jace stared in shock at me.

I ran a hand through my hair. What the hell was going on with me?! "Dude, are you okay?" I shook my head and sat down with a huge sigh. Laura knocked on the door and walked in without anyone's permission.

"Xav? Are you o--" I cut her off.

"Don't call me that. Understood?!" She looked surprised at my harsh tone but I could care less.

"I just wanted to see if you're okay." She protested and I flared.

"Get out of my office!! I don't want to see you ever again!! Leave! YOU'RE FIRED!!" I was royally pissed.

"Woah! Calm down Xavier!" Jace interrupted and I glared at him. "Not now. Laura get the fuck out of my sight." I said lowly and she wiped away a stray tear before running out. Was she crying?

"Dude?! What the fuck is wrong with you?!" Jace snapped and I sighed in fustration.

"I don't know okay?! Just... I don't know." I said and he just watched me.

"What happened? You're never like this. Why'd you fire Laura?" He asked again.

"She needed to be gone anyway. She annoys me." I excused. He only scoffed.

"Is that the reason you look like you want to toss something through those glass windows forty feet down?" He was right. I wanted to throw something. Or maybe Someone.

"Is it Quinn?" I glared. "Don't. I don't want to hear it. She's messing with me." I said and he laughed slightly.

"What do you mean? She's just a tiny little teenager you were forced to marry." He said and I glowered at him.

"Don't say shit about her."

"Wait.... No way!" He exclaimed and I frowned in confusion. "What is wrong with you now?" I asked going over to my desk to call someone to clean up the broken glass.

"I think you're in love with Quinn."

I froze.

"Now is not the time to make jokes, Jace." I warned and he rolled his eyes. "You don't realize it but you are. You think I don't notice how you're always smiling when she's mentioned? aside from ten seconds ago. You never smile Bro! But when she's around it's like you're a fucking light bulb that she switched on with her presence.

You always take care of her with the little things you do. I saw you get her a bracelet. Which by the way, you should give her. You practically made her your equal. She's running this company with you. Most guys will just lock them up in their houses to produce Heirs but you're giving her the freedom she deserves as a person. That shows how much you really care for her. She's the center of your world bro. You just have to open your eyes to see that." He said.

I stayed quiet for a few seconds, going over his words. It hit me faster than i could fully wrap my head around it.

Shit. I'm in love with Quinn.

"So, what's the deal between you and Rissa?" I asked and his jaw dropped.

"I just gave the best speech ever and that's what you're going with? Trying to switch the subject?!" I smiled as I shook my head.

"Thank you for helping me realize how whipped I actually am. You should also go ahead and ask her on a date. if you never try, you'll never know." I said and he smirked.

"It's a double date then if only you do the same." He teased and I shrugged.

"Whatever, get out. I've got some files to work on."

"Geez man. That was some serious emotion change I've seen. Tone it down." He grumbled as he walked out.

I only smiled to my self and picked up my phone to call Quinn. She rejected the call every time it rang. I decided to FaceTime.

She picked and was scowling at me.

"Hi baby." I said not trying to hide the smile on my face. "What are you smiling at douchebag?" She snapped. I noticed she was driving my car she all but stole from me this morning.

"I'm sorry I left in such a rush. I shouldn't have done that." I apologized and she scoffed keeping her eyes on the road.

"I agree it was stupid to do." She concurred.

"Am I forgiven?" She looked at me for a full second. "I said I agree. Not you're forgiven. Clean your ears out Stupid." I rolled my eyes and sighed.

"Nini? Can I take you out on a date?" I asked. She looked shocked then replied.

"No." Wait..No?

"No? Why?" I asked. She might have her reasons.

"I've never gone on a date since the last one I had with Aiden where he basically announced to the school of my biggest fear and proceeded to make it happen." She explained and I furrowed my brows as I listened.

"What did that dipshit do to you?" I asked. She smiled at me before looking back at the road.

"I'm scared of dark small places. He locked me in a closet during Halloween as a prank. It's nothing to be angry about Xav." She said.

I only wanted her to call me Xav. Just her not Laura or any other woman.

"We got over it though. I still despise the fact the whole school knew." She said.

"So you're not going on a date with me?" I asked sounding slightly hurt.

"Of course I'll go on a date with you. It just has to be us. A moment for just us." She said and I smiled widely.

"Anything you want Nini."

She smiled and winked at me.

"Oh and you're forgiven." And she ended the call.

She has me wrapped around her finger, funny thing is I don't mind.
