Vior's Point Of View
Bermuda Triangle, huh?
We were already in the middle of the ocean but I had no intention of letting go of Zenith’s hand. I feel like there will be super strange that something happens when I do that and I don't want to gamble just to find out what it is.
It really hunts me down. I can't be reassured every time because there is some darkness
haunting my mind. A shadow that keeps telling me.
"Let her go.."
"She belongs to us. Leave her alone …"
Ever since we got on the plane, my guts feeling has worsened. It's not a mission. It's a suicide not for us but for Zenith.
There are some people living in that Island who want to take her.
"Psh. You know what? I feel like something's bothering your mind. Care to tell me what it is? I'm sure that's why you're still holding my hand. Huh, Vior?!" Zenith said loudly that I would stop thinking.
Her face was irritated as she watched our hand. I guess that's what she wants to do, she badly wants to cut my hands out of her so she can move properly but she can't.
Get yourself together, Vior, we're just going to that place. I can't be complacent. "Mind your own business," I said coldly to her surprise.
It barely stood up but she was also pulled down because I was over my hand. We sat on the side of the ship.
"Asshole." I just ignored what she said and just looked at Kindred.
Manuever and him are always studying all the articles about the mysterious place. While the others are talking about some crazy stuff and the girls seemed to be getting bored enough to sleep.
"Widow! How is it going?" Sage asks here busy handling the ship's wheel.
"Are you still asking me? Eh until now, we are all still floating in the water," she replied.
Sage was stunned and then laughed because they were obviously just teasing Widow. We all know that she's good at it so we trust her whenever we have a mission. Even planes are capable of her.
"Your friend is crazy," Zenith suddenly said next to me.
She's talking about the boys.
"You can say that. They can't avoid joking while on the mission. That's the only way to ease the tension," I explained.
She was no longer mulling to speak yet.
Suddenly Manuever and Kindred stood up. Looks like we should know something.
"Okay guys. Another information and please take a note of this. Our next stop is not a joke so we've been here on the ship since the beginning. I need everyone's participation, Kindred will explain the rest."
As we were on the plane we had an image appear in his eye shaped screen. "Listen. Centuries before anyone had ever heard of the Triangle, the island of Bermuda developed a reputation as a mysterious, dangerous place where mariners faced peril." He showed those three places that connect to form the Bermuda Triangle and also the island.
"A 1609 pamphlet described the island as "a most prodigious and enchanted place, affording nothing but gusts, storms, and foul weather," so expect that we can pass the super strong storm later on. And this is even compared to the Scylla and Charybdis, the Aegean Sea Monsters," Kindred continued.
The images are all blurred and black so we can't quite see what he's referring to. I quickly looked at Zenith to feel a strong pulse from her hand.
She was also obviously surprised and just stared at the emptiness. That means, it didn't come from her and that was just a shocked wave when she heard Kindred mentioned the Aegean Sea Monsters.
Maneuver coughed. "Is it clear to you why I need everyone's cooperation. First, let me be in charge here so I won't hear any whining if ever something suddenly needs to be done. This is a serious matter—"
"Hey! Sorry to interrupt but the heavy storm you had mentioned earlier is coming!" Widow suddenly said as we stopped.
We stood to see the typhoon she was referring to and its really not just an ordinary storm. It was accompanied by lightning and whirlwinds accompanied by heavy rain, strong waves.
"Widow! Can you?!" Tremendous asked loudly.
"There's only one way to find out. Be ready if the ship we're on breaks, we're toasted here," she replied.
"Uno, we need your power about that lightning. Zenith—"
I immediately refused, "No. I will not allow it, I have already told you that she should always be by my side until this mission is over."
"But-"
I just shook my head. Manuever did not continue what he was going to say.
"Hey, idiot." I looked at Zenith. "They need you, don't do anything stupid. Stop this nonsense and help them if you don't want us all to die here, your stupidity won't get us out of here," she said.
I understand where she's coming from but when I let go of her hand in this situation she might suddenly disappear.
"Tremendous! Make sure that the king's corpse is not lost, we still need to bring it to the right place," said Manuever who had earlier ordered everyone.
We were right inside the storm and we were all wet because of the heavy rain and strong gusts of wind. Your big waves also crash into the ship itself.
"Vior, trust your friends. Release me first and do what you have to do. I'll be here, I'm not leaving," Zenith said.
Damn it! Curse this storm and that stupid Island when Zenith is gone.
