CHAPTER 48

　　It was Esme’s birthday and Annie and Damien had planned a little surprise for her. Annie showed up at Damien’s penthouse as early as possible before Esme woke up to help him with the little surprise they had in mind.

　　“Thank you for agreeing to help me,” Damien said as she walked in.

　　“She’s my friend too and I’ll do anything to make her happy,” Annie said in return.

　　They soon began preparations as quietly as they could in order not to wake the celebrant up. Annie suddenly received a text from an unknown number asking her to meet whoever it was at a certain location. It wasn’t the first nor was it the second or the third text she would be receiving such text from several unidentified numbers. She was beginning to assume that Robert was behind it all but it seemed impossible to her since he was in prison unless he had people working for him outside.
