CHAPTER FIFTY-ONE

　　Annie stared at the text not knowing what to do or who to call. She wanted to inform Damien but she was still too angry with him to inform him of the new threat, a threat to her best friend's life. Besides, she wasn't ready for another round of blame from him. He was definitely going to blame her again for putting her friend at risk.

　　Although, she wasn't certain if the threats were real. She tried to convince herself that Naomi would return soon so she decided to remain calm until she was sure of her whereabouts. After waiting for the whole day and no call from her nor her return, she called her friend to find out where she was but she was out of reach. She kept trying yet she couldn't reach Naomi.

　　She had called the gallery earlier where Naomi worked but they claimed that she hadn't shown up at the gallery and that she was out of reach too. This gave Annie so much concern, she was scared that truly something had happened to Naomi.
