Chapter 53: Duo's Battle
Standing few metres away from each other was Banny, Clinton, Lucin and Bright, while the soldiers stood as spectators at the edge of the crater. The air around became tensed.
" My name is Banny, what is yours??" Banny asked Lucin
" Leave that alone, I don't need it." Lucin responded.
" So boring, don't you think I'll need to know the name of the person who contributed in causing damage to my clan's army camp??" Banny asked.
" Leave the introductions alone." Lucin said
" As you wish then." Banny said and looked up at the soldiers spectating them.
" I Banny Gabal, stands here to bring punishment to the people who destroyed our camp and resources." He declared loudly.
" So lousy." Lucin muttered.
" I'll leave the other to you." Banny said to Clinton and fixate his gaze on Lucin.
He pointed his hand at Lucin and asked. " Are we just going to stand and stare at ourselves??"
" Oh I thought you still want to converse with your partner there. Since you aren't doing that, let's begin then." Lucin replied
Flames erupted from his palms and engulfed his hands before moving back to his palm in a round shape. He threw it at Banny, who wave the fan in his grasp, the fan generated a condensed form of wind that clashed against the flame. The attacks took out each other.
' he should be able to do that, well let's take this to another level.' Lucin thought.
He moved from his side and ran straight at Banny with his fist encased in fire. Mid speed, he threw his hand out severally and sent mini fire balls at Banny, who countered all with the wind generated from his fan.
Lucin appeared at Banny's side and punched him at his side.
' Bam'
Banny was sent flying with extreme force, he landed hard at the side of the crater wall while being embedded in it.
Wind converged on his position and ' BOOM' the wall surrounding him were pushed back with force, making the crater expand more, a figure could be seen walking towards Lucin.
' he is quite strong, but that's not enough to take me out." Banny thought.
He raised his fan up and brought it down with force, he repeated the process. Winds began to converge around him little by little, until it became visible in a single spot .
" Whatever he's doing, I won't let him have his way." Lucin muttered and conjured a fire ball that is as large as the wind that is being conjured by Banny.
Banny drew his hand back and swung it with extreme force. Seeing this, Lucin also hurled the fireball at the incoming wind, the attacks collided and a loud blast resounded , this time the attacks didn't cancel out each other.
Banny didn't stop there, more winds kept accumulating with the wind attack and jeeps pushing back the fire balls, Lucin on the other hand stretched out his palms which sent out more fireballs, a tug of war between two different affinity emerge. The temperature around the attacks meeting point dropped .
" Are we just going to continue testing each other, this is boring." Banny shouted.
" I was waiting for you to decide that " Lucin replied. " Let's spice it up or maybe move it to another level."
With one hand he continued to power the huge fireball that was in a tug of war, he conjured another ball with his other hand and hurled it at Banny.
Banny seeing the ball at the last second, jumped back which made him stop powering up his wind attack.
The fire ball landed on the floor, making a hug explosion erupt, Banny made his footing solid so as not to be pushed away by the shockwave. When the smoke cleared, he choose to resume his attack, but his opponent was no where to be found.
His ear perked, but it was too late to react. " That was a decor ." Lucin whispered into his ears before punching his side with a fist that was burning intensely. Bamny was lifted off the floor before shooting away and colliding with the walls.
" Damn that hurts." He said with pain and spat out blood.
Before he could look up, a giant flaming fist landed squarely on his stomach, pushing him deeper into the crater walls, debris and bricks were sent flying everywhere. Not stopping there, Lucin brought him out of the crater and kicked him at his sides, flames bursted around as Banny was again sent flying, the trend continued with Lucin gaining the upper hand.
" Fiery fist of judgement." Lucin muttered
Flames encompassed his whole arm, it grew into a very large arm, the fist was the size of two giant fists put together. Lucin charged at Banny who was kneeling on the floor with blood flowing from his body.
When Lucin got close enough, he leapt into the air, a giant fiery fist could be seen aimed at Banny who knelt down without moving.
" Not so fast." Bamny muttered.
Air immediately rose up from the ground and also came from different directions and covered him before swirling around like a tornado.
The fiery fist landed at the center of the tornado. Instead of it exploding, the tornado covered the flaming fist which struggled for few seconds before dispersing into nothingness.
Lucin jumpedback twice, creating a reasonable distance between them. An explosion resounded where Banny was.
' it's as I had predicted, he could counter my fist of judgement, but he will never expect me to condense fire into a tiny bomb.' Lucin thought and smiled
The wind cleared and Banny could be seen crouching and in an odd shape, his skin was burnt to his face , he looks unrecognizable, his left arm is nowhere to be found.
' I am not able to use my skills effectively, he isn't giving me the chance to ' Banny thought. ' at least I can do this much, I need to buy time for my arms to regenerate.'
He sat down, folded his legs, he then swung his fan several times, which just generate minimal wind force. Then suddenly the fan opened while spreading out wide, wind spikes shot out of it in thousands and headed for Lucin.
Seeing this, Lucin felt he could counter it, until he sensed that something was wrong, an invisible force was holding him in place, it wasn't noticeable at first but as he moved , the grip became firm.
' this ain't good.' he thought.
He had no choice but to do what he can to fend off the incoming attack. Flames bursted out of his figure, dispelling the gripping force and exterminating some of the wind spikes , the remaining spikes went through from all sides.
He tried moving away from his position but it seems they were alive, because they followed him as he moved , it was as if they could predict his next movement, as he moves, more impales him
Lucin groaned, he was trying to escape the constant barrage of wind spikes but all to no avail, he was being impaled constantly, wounds were accumulating but no fatal wounds, he is doing well to protect his vital points. Suddenly he sensed danger and choose to break free from the barrage at all cost.
He closed his eyes and allowed more spikes to impale him without moving to avoid them, pains shoot through all his body, making him grimace.
" Adura hand, fiery whip." He muttered.
Flames covered his whole body, fiery hands grew out of his sides, two on both side, making his hands six altogether. The lower hands at his waist region created fireballs while his real hands and his mid -hands held fiery thorny whips.
The lower hands threw the fireballs at Banny who created winds to counter it, Lucin threw more fireballs, which were growing in size and covering a wide range of area. Dust erupted all around Banny as he countered with his wind.
" This is it, let's end this now." Lucin swung three of the whips with force , it lunged at Banny and lashed at him from three different sides.
" Ahhhh" Banny screamed, he could Sense the attack but he couldn't move because of the state of his body, the who's dug into his injured body and burnt it more.
Lucin swung the last whip with more force than the others, which landed on Banny's neck and curled around it. It made a sound like when ancient Nig's citizens whips people with oriamo cord on their neck. The effect was thrice that of ancient times
" Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" Banny screamed again, cracking his voice, he tried to break free, but the more he struggles the more the whips cuts deep into his skin and burns his flesh.
" It's time." Lucin said.
