Remembering

Ivy lays on Jackson in the on-call room as they talk, "I really don't want to go to that meeting today."

Jackson runs his hand up and down her back, "I'm sure everything will be fine. And I'm only a page away."

"I know but these meetings are getting annoying and honestly, I prefer being back in psych," she tells him, as his phone buzzes.

"Hold that thought. I have an email," he quickly gets up and grabs his phone before sitting on the edge of the bed.

She looks over his shoulder at the email and laughs, "Oh, my God. Thats-thats not right. Oh, that's funny."

"I-I can- I can't do this," he forwards the email to his mother before lying back down on the bed.

Ivys still laughing, "I've got to go. I love you," she kisses him before getting up.

"Love you too! And can you email me something so I can forget about that?"

"The Prodigal Cardio surgeon has returned!" Ivy exclaims as she walks up to the nurses desk to see Cristina sitting there with Meredith and Alex.

"Yes, McBaby, I'm back," she tells her.

Ivy smirks at her, "I have a new nickname. Posion Ivy."

Cristina scoffs, "Seriously. Actually, I expected the interns to be scared of you, but Meredith?"

Jackson comes up to them, "Oh, the Prodigal Yang returns. We've missed you."

"Your girlfriend already beat you to that joke. Anyway, what do you know about the new cardio chief- Jeff Randall?" Cristina asks.

"Russell. Nothing. And seriously, Ivy, stealing my jokes?" Jackson turns to her.

"Yeah. No one named Jeff has ever done anything substantial."

Ivy shrugs, "Can't help it if I'm better than you in every way."

Jackson looks like he wants to argue but thinks better of it, "Hey, Karev, when you buy Mer's house, can Ivy and I get my old room back?"

"Nope. No roommates. We're not in college. We're real people now," Alex denies.

"Wait. You're selling him your house? Cristina turns to her person.

Meredith looks over a chart, "I might not. He wants me to rip out the floors."

Jackson sucks up, "We'll take the floors as is."

"Aren't you guys staying with April? Why do you want to leave?" Alex asks them.

"Jackson!" April shouts as he quickly leaves, "Where is he going?"

"Away from you it seems."

April smiles at her, "Cristina, glad you're back."

Cristina motions to where Jackson was, "Whats his problem? You doing it to loud in the room next to them?"

April looks at Ivy, "Did you tell everybody? Does everybody know this now?"

"God and everybody."

"Four whole seconds I was glad you were back," April tells Cristina as she walks away.

"Is she really that bad?" Cristina asks Ivy.

Ivy glares, "She sneaks her boy toy out after loud sex. And then, prays, loudly, for hours after that. You try having sex in the room next to a woman praising Jesus for a different reason than you want to be."

Cristina snorts, "Mm. I gotta go and meet this Jeff Schmuck."

"Have fun, I'm heading down to the pit," Ivy turns around.

"At this point, it's about assessing these emotional damages. So we'll need to hear everything," the lawyer tells the group as Cristina enters the room.

"You must be Dr. Yang. Glad you could be here. Have-have a seat," the man says.

The lawyer turns to Owen, "Dr. Hunt, I guess you won't be necessary as proxy anymore."

Owen denies it, "Uh, uh, I'm here more out of support for my staff."

Derek looks back at him, "Yeah, I don't mind if he stays."

"Today, uh, we- we'd like to get some statements about, uh, continued physical, but-but also mental or emotional difficulties you might have suffered since the crash. Dr. Shepherd, You're statement will be very helpful," the man points to Ivy.

She scoffs, "Why, cause I went crazy twice?"

They look at each other, "Well, you're two visits to psych-"

"You know what. I don't have time for this. I have interns running the pit who frankly should not be aloud to step foot in the pit yet. Ask psych for my file, as you've reminded everyone, they have a huge one on me and my emotional and mental stability, so, toodles," Ivy says, leaving the room.

Derek tells them, "Uh, the flair for the dramatics has always been there. Before the crash, during the crash and long after the crash."

"Wilson, what's the status of our jollyest paitent?" Ivy turns to her.

Jo stands up straight, "Santa?"

Ivy nods and motions to her to speak faster, "I-I-I don't know. He-he wasn't lying. His labs came-came back negative for drugs and alcohol. He's dehydrated, b-but otherwise, h-his Chem panels good, h-his blood s-sugars sup-suprisingly good."

"Treat him and street him."

"I-I'm sorry?"

Ivy sighs, "Santa Claus has becoming here for years, ever since I started working here. Same symptoms- always drunk, always nauseous. We run multiple tests and they are always negative. So, give him antimetics, some food, and send him on his way."

Jo starts to argue, "I-I just feel li-like-"

"What in my tone made you think you could argue? Do as I said. I know you want to help, I did too. But you're a surgical intern who is needed elsewhere. We need that bed. Discharge him," Ivy tells her, walking away.

Ivy walks down the hall with one of the lawyer guys following her, "Dr. Shepherd, I realize that the way we went about it was not right. But your statement can help your colleagues and their families."

She spots Jackson and yanks him towards her, "Jackson, lawyer guy. Lawyer guy, my boyfriend Jackson Avery. He can tell you what you need to know about my mental and emotional state since the crash. As well as my physical situation."
