First Time

Ivy and Jackson get dressed in an on-call room, "I'm going to go watch Derek's lecture and then talk to Callie, see how Arizonas doing."

"You have fun with that, I'm going to go get some coffee," He stands up, kissing her forehead before leaving.

Ivy smiles before heading to the skills lab to watch Derek. None of the interns realize that she's in there, but Derek does.

"Any questions?"

"When you performed that transcranial resection of clival chordoma in 2003, did you realize you'd become a major influence on surgeons around the world?" Ross asks.

Ivy smirks at Derek's growing frustration, "Any questions about central lines? Okay, look, I get that you went over this in med school, but as interns, you're gonna be asked to insert central lines everyday. Do it incorrectly and the patient could die."

"I could be watching a Whipple right now," Edwards complains to Murphy.

"I heard that Dr. Webber has a patient with scrotal lymphedema," She replies.

Wilson turns around, "Scrotal lymphedema?"

"Ladies," Derek sighs.

"Uh, Dr. Shepherd. I have a question about central lines," Ross tells him.

Derek nods, "Great. Go ahead."

Ross asks, "In learning to insert your first central line, did you develop any of the skills that contributed to your influential clival chordoma resection in 2003?"

All the interns groan as Derek turns to Ivy for help. She steps forward, "Central lines are the interns most basic and important work in the E.R."

Every intern sits up straight as she walks to the front by Derek, "If you make a mistake, you have one of two people most likely yelling at you, Chief Hunt, or myself. If you're lucky it might be another attending. Learn from Dr. Shepherd right now, so you don't make a mistake later. If you can't do that, then you won't step foot in an O.R. until you can. Now, I'm off to see Webbers scrotal lymphedema."

"Poison Ivy strikes again," she hears Murphy say on her way out.

Ivy is paged to look at some scans by Webber but is pleased to see Catherine, "Well, if it isn't my favorite Avery?"

"Oh, Ivy dear. How are you? And don't worry, I won't tell Jackson I'm your favorite," Catherine tells her, pulling her in for a hug.

"I'm fine. Better than I was. Now, what am I looking at?" Ivy tells her, looking at the scans.

Catherine gets serious, "Testicles that are bigger than they should be."

Ivy smiles, "Oh, yeah. Defintly bigger. Why didn't Jackson mention you were coming by?"

"He didn't know. He made it very clear, he would like me to stay out of his personal business, so I am doing my best. I, however, made no such promises to you. You look lighter and happier than I've ever seen you. Even with the stress of the crash," Catherine tells her.

"Catherine, I-"

"Look at me. I am having the best sex I have had in years. And it's just opened me up like a flower, blossoming towards the sun. I can tell that you're feeling the same way," Catherine assumes.

Ivy tries to think of a response, "Uh, ye- I'm sorry, I don't know how to answer that. I mean, I'm dating your son and-and I just-just- no idea. Um, so, testicles?"

"Yes, testicles."

Jackson and Ivy make out on an on-call room bed, "I have to be in a surgery, all day tomorrow with your mom."

Jackson stops and looks at her, "You're in that surgery, too?"

"You're gonna be there too?" Ivy questions.

"Looks like we're operating together again, babe," He tells her, leaning down to kiss her again.

Ivy puts a hand on his chest to stop him, "I can't be in that O.R. with you and her. She can tell that we're having amazing sex because she's having it too.

"Ga-wh-"

Ivy cups his face. "Sorry, sorry. I know you didn't want to hear that."

Jackson looks over her head, "Webbers still banging my mom."

Ivy nods as Jackson moves to lay next to her, "And we're done here."

"Sorry, babe," She tells him.

"Yeah, well, now, we'll all be uncomfortable in the O.R. tomorrow."

"Can't wait."

Ivy walks into the rehabilitation room to see Arizona getting fitted, "Oh, Arizona, I didn't realize you were here."

"Oh, really? Callie didn't send you?" She snaps.

"No. Callie hasn't told me anything. I needed a consult from Moore about a patient I have coming in in a couple days. Lose the attitude," Ivy snaps back at her.

Arizona sighs, "Sorry, I just have a hard time trusting Callie to keep her word after she cut off my leg."

Ivy glares at her, "To save your freakin life."

"I'm tired of hearing that excuse."

"Its not an excuse! It's a reason. A valid reason!" Ivy shouts at her.

Arizona just shakes her head, "What do you know? Your leg and arm turned out fine. You're fine. So it doesn't matter what you think."

Ivy laughs, "Your a selfish bitch. Has Callie not told you anything that's been going on? Or are you to bitter to listen? The fact that I was committed to psych twice? Or how about," Ivy starts pulling up her sleeve, "The fact that this burn mark covers my entire arm and scrubbing in is painful. Or," she rolls up her pants leg, "the fact that this burn causes my leg to experience numbness that feels like it's gone sometimes. Or the times where there is such a burning pain that sometimes it puts me back in the freakin woods. I'm not fine. I'm coping. I'm getting off my sorry ass and not bad talking the only person who's caring for me day in and day out!"

"I didn't know about psych or your leg, I'm sorry," Arizona apologizes.

"I don't need your pity. What I need you to do is stop treating Callie like she's the super villan here. All she did was save your life so Sofia wouldn't lose two parents. But, your so self centered that you can't see that? That's fine. Enjoy your life cause soon, you won't have a wife, you won't have your kid, and you won't have any friends if you keep acting like a bitch," Ivy tells her before walking out.

Ivy walks out of the patients room to see Jackson, Meredith, Alex and April standing outside the room. She doesn't say a word as she walks over to the desk.
