Chapter 4

Shoto stared at where his phone was charging from across his dorm room. What was the group chat like? Could he really be accepted by strangers so easily? Curiosity got the better of him and he crawled over to his phone to accept the invite Bakugou had sent him.

A screen popped up asking him to pick a nickname…

He pondered it for a moment until deciding on 'Shogun' since he did descend from a very traditional Japanese family and his name started with 'Sho'.

Shogun has entered the chat.

Loud Mouth is typing…

Loud Mouth was obviously Present Mic.

Loud Mouth: Hey, hey, hey, a new gay! I just DMed you a google doc for you to fill out your name and class- don't worry, this information is private, we just need it in case something troubling happens in the group chat. We need to be able to keep our students safe.

Shogun: Ok.

Shoto quickly filled out the document before heading back to the group chat. It was rather small with only seven people, including himself. The members were: Loud Mouth, Hero Fan 0, Built on Memories, Sleepy Cat, Hh, Requiem of Darkness, and himself; Shogun.

Shogun: So… I'm assuming Sleepy Cat is Aizawa-sensei and Loud Mouth is Mic-Sensei?

Sleepy Cat: yes.

Loud Mouth: Really ruining the air of mystery we had going.

Shogun: But you two already know who I am, so what's the point?

Sleepy Cat: We keep names anonymous so students don't have to worry about their insecurities being leaked- at least not with a name and face attached.

Shogun: Oh. Ok.

Built on Memories: So, newbie- What are your pronouns and sexuality? Don't worry we'll say ours too.

Shogun: My pronouns are He/Him and I'm gay.

Built on Memories: Cool, cool. My pronouns are She/They and I am bisexual.

Hh: He/him, Demisexual.

Hero Fan 0: He/Him. I'm gay.

Requiem of Darkness: He/Him, aro/ace.

Shoto wondered why Bakugou wasn't in the chat. Maybe he was, but he didn't know who he was.

Built on Memories: Love being the only girl here.

Built on Memories: Anyway, while this kind of ruins the anonymity, we like to explain why we picked our nickname.

Shogun: Oh. Okay.

Built on Memories: You don't like to talk a lot, do you?

Shoto shrugged but then remembered this was texting and they couldn't see him.

Shogun: I guess.

Built on Memories: Well, why did you pick your nickname?

Shogun: Oh, I come from a very traditional Japanese family, and since my given name starts with 'Sho' I picked 'Shogun'.

Built on Memories: Very creative. I picked mine because it's from my favorite Panic! At the disco song.

Requiem of Darkness: Baby we built this house~ On memories~ Take my picture now~ Shake it 'till ya see it!

Requiem of Darkness: Sorry, Dark Shadow took over.

Oh, that's Tokoyami. Shoto also had a feeling 'Built on Memories' is Jirou.

Requiem of Darkness: On the topic, I picked my nickname because my quirk embodies darkness- and I like music.

Yeah, that's definitely Tokoyami.

Hh: I didn't know what to pick for a nickname so I just hit the H key. Twice because my finger shook and made me re-hit it. I was so embarrassed by my lack of bodily control that I went with it as if it were on purpose. It still taunts me.

The lack of confidence screams Tamaki.

The only person left that wasn't the teachers was 'Hero Fan 0'. Shoto's deductive skills were telling him it had to be Bakugou.

Hero Fan 0: I used to really like heroes when I was a kid so… yeah.

Shoto doesn't know Bakugou very well so he wasn't certain. This person seemed too calm to be Bakugou- but in that matter where was Bakugou if this wasn't him?

Shogun: Are you the person who invited me?

This question seemed like the best one because it wouldn't expose Bakugou's identity if it was him.

Hero Fan 0: Yeah. These losers don't know how to keep a conversation going.

Shogun: I thought they were doing just fine.

Hero Fan 0: Anyway I figure you've already figured out who everybody here is at this point.

Shogun: It was pretty obvious.

Loud Mouth: You guys ruin everything!

Sleepy Cat: Hizashi, stop acting younger than the 15 y-r-os when you're twice their age.

Sleepy Cat: Seriously, there isn't even a need for you to follow the anonymity rule.

Loud Mouth: Says the guy who's following the rule too.

Sleepy Cat: No kisses for a month.

Loud Mouth: Wait- Shouta- no :CCC

Sleepy Cat is offline.

Loud Mouth: NO baby come bAckkkkk-

Loud Mouth: I'm sorry!

Loud Mouth: Come back!

Loud Mouth is offline.

Shortly after everybody went offline, leaving Shoto to the bombinating of his air conditioner and a dark room.
