Chapter 5

On Tuesday morning, Shoto was up and eating his breakfast before even Bakugou awoke. His plan was to avoid his classmates like the plague, but it backfired pretty fast.

"Icy-Hot, why are you staring at your cereal like that? It's going to get soggy." Bakugou's voice rang from behind him.

He turned to see Bakugou standing at the base of the stairs, with a yawning Jirou in tow.

"Oh, good morning." That was all he could manage to say.

Jirou gave him a soft smile, "Did you sleep okay, Todoroki?"

Shoto was shocked for a moment until he remembered the group chat. Jirou was one of the members.

"I could've slept better, to be honest." Shoto replied, looking back down at his cornflakes.

Jirou placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder, "Remember that we're here for you. Tokoyami, Tamaki-Senpai, Mic-Sensei, Aizawa-Sensei, and I- hell even Bakugou is here for you. I'm also willing to bet most of our classmates are, too." She smiled, massaging her hand on his shoulder.

Shoto experienced a flurry of emotions he couldn't identify. Before he knew it, he'd broken down crying. He'd cried with Uraraka yesterday and now he's crying in front of Jirou and Bakugou. He felt so pathetic for wearing his emotions on his sleeves like this. He'd gotten so good at hiding his emotions but now it seemed that was all for naught.

His sudden tears seemed to surprise both Jirou and Bakugou.

Jirou enveloped him in a comforting side hug, much like Uraraka had done the day before. Bakugou on the other hand just patted Shoto on the head, slightly ruffling his hair.

Katsuki stared at Icy-Hot's crying form. It made him angry. Angrier than he'd ever been before.

"I'm gonna go." He said, ruffling the Candycane's hair once more before heading back upstairs.

He scuffled through his things, looking for a particular villain's phone number.

Pulling up a crumbled piece of paper, he dialed the number into a rotary phone. When he'd been kidnapped by the league, he'd built a wobbly friendship with the crazy chick with the knives. She was openly bisexual and though insane, she was very accepting of the things that made people different.

"Hello~ you're speaking with Himiko Toga, who is this~?" An overly happy and shrill voice asked on the other end.

"This is Katsuki."

He heard a gasp from her side, "Did you decide to join me in the league~?!"

"In your dreams, Stabby." He snapped back, "I actually have a favor to ask of you."

"Oh~?" She asked. He could feel her smile through the screen and was starting to regret his choice to call.

"There's a classmate of mine who's been getting on my nerves since school started, and he's finally crossed the line."

"What did he do~?" She hummed.

"At first he was just a huge pervert towards the girls in the class. He also started being kind of a pervert toward the 'prettier' boys too, but we didn't mind since that just gave us the incentive to beat him up. But yesterday-" He explained before being cut off.

"So many atrocities~ it's almost a shame I have to kill him, he'd make a great villain~. Oohoo~ that rhymed!" She airily joyed on.

Katsuki scoffed in response, "Whatever, as I was saying, yesterday he overheard one of my classmates' conversations and took it upon himself to tell everybody. Usually, I wouldn't care, but this was something he shouldn't have shared."

"Can I have the deets~?" Toga hummed. Katsuki could practically see her twirling one of her knives with a finger on the handle and the blade to the table.

Katsuki sighed, "The classmate was Icy-Hot. He was telling that girl you like- Pink Cheeks- that he was disowned for being gay. But the stupid grape felt that everybody should know this information and proceeded to tell the whole school."

He heard an audible crash on the other end before hearing loud footsteps.

"Ignore that, hehe~ who is this 'grape' that needs to be disposed of~?"

"Minoru Mineta." He answered.

"Consider it done~ I'll send you a PayPal invoice upon completion, be sure to pay it in the following three days or Mineta won't be the only fatality~!" She cackled from the other line.

"Yeah, yeah, Stabby, I get it. Don't worry about it, you'll get your money."

The sound of an accomplished chuckle was his initial response, "I'm so proud of you, Katz~ paying for your first assassination~ you're just like us."

He cringed at the thought and hung up.

He would never be a villain. Not in a million years. He would confess his feelings for Icy-Hot before he ever became a villain.
