Chapter Twenty

I woke up with the sun shining on my face. The smell of fire burning also brought me out of my slumber. Sleeping in a room with 3 other girls was no piece of cake. Chi kept on throwing her arm on my face, Binh kept draping her leg over me, and Leena would curl up to me like I was her mom.

I kept waking up and removing any limb on me, so it felt like the night went by too quickly. I groaned and sat up before stretching my arms. Then I threw the white sheet off my legs and pushed myself off the floor.

Sleeping on a small cushion did not help me with my rib pain, but at least it wasn't hurting as bad as it was the day before. I walked out of the room and only saw Binh peeling some fruit. Chi and Leena must've gone out somewhere.

"Good morning," I mumbled and walked over to her.

"Hello, Phoenix." Binh flashed a smile at me and handed me a piece of orange fruit. It smelled like mango, so I shoved it in my mouth. "Are you well this Sunrise?"
