The young woman and little girl climbed down the ladder with Arthur's guidance and both bowed at Kai. He smiled at them genuinely, even patting the little girl on her head. The young woman, Binh was her name, grabbed Kai by his sleeve and smiled at him. "It is an honor to have you in our presence. I have always dreamed of meeting Elvanor's royals. May Thi's law bring you peace." She got on both knees and bowed her head lower. 


"You are very kind." Kai beamed at her, and I felt my blood boil just slightly. Was it me, or was he looking at her a little longer than expected? 


"Oh my!" Chi gasped when she turned to face me. She grabbed onto my shoulders suddenly, and my body froze in fear. "Child! You have been out in the sun for too long! Your hair is shriveled! You must come in and rest!" She placed her hand in my hair and then rubbed my arms, I knew she was talking about my hair and skin.
