" hey! let me ask you this question if I wasn't in a relationship with you would you still offer me these opportunities"
"yes I would because you are really smart and I would have loved to work with you". he said
"thank you"
"welcome. so it's late I should go and I can't come to visit you from tommorow because I have a lot of work and I can't see you but I will call you and I will surely make it to your graduation " he paused at the door and looked at me and said
"aww I will really miss you tomorrow"
I laughed and he left. indeed he did call during those times.
one day left for our graduation and me and my friend were together the whole day reminiscing about some of our happy, sad, hilarious moments in this school and we ate, watched movies and a whole lot but during those moments Manuel called to check up on me and I had a talk with him for a while before returning to my friend, one thing was for sure my friend never asked me who called or what our relationship was but today he was all about us, the two of us.
*Haven't still told him about Manuel? yes I haven't. Why? because it hasn't come up yet.* *but He told you to tell him if something like this comes along? I know but we haven't had such conversation to bring it up.*
Today is the D-Day for the graduation ceremony and things were going on so well, Manuel kept his promise he indeed came and I think it was time to introduce Manuel to my friend.
I introduced Manuel to my friend.
wondering how I did the intro?
"hi Manuel, meet my best friend and you meet Manuel" that was how I did it simple with no need for explanation, they both greeted each other with a smile and I was glad none of them asked for explanation it was like they didn't care about the other person and was all about their importance in my life. after the graduation, our class batch had organized a party for just the graduands and I had to bid Manuel good bye but then he asked this question that I didn't understand why he asked.
"are you going to the party with that friend of yours"
"yes. why?"
"nothing'' although he said nothing I felt discomfort in his demeanor.
