chapter six

Joan watched Nick on her bed for a while before she went to prepare something

"what's that smell" Nick said upon reaching the kitchen

"come let's eat, I prepared your favorite" Joan said as she took the food towards the dining table.

"since when did you learn how to cook, especially my favorite" Joan said

"when you weren't paying attention to me" Joan said

"really? you have always have my attention from childhood to now, even if I didn't want to" Nick said

"ok, eat before it gets cold" Joan said

"let's see whether it tastes as nice as it smells" Nick said as he walked towards the dining table

upon taking the first bite

"MMM not bad but you can still improve" he said

"are you serious right now, give my food back to me" Joan said trying to take the food away from him

"hey you made this for me, and I'm just kidding, it tastes awesome, seems like my best friend is now a woman and ready for marriage" he said smiling and eating

"I won't mind you"

after a while

"so it seems you are the campus king" Joan said

"what do you mean?"

"you seem really popular in this school"

"yh because I'm their number one basketball player"

"I don't think that's all, they say you're really handsome and everyone wants to be close to you"

"really?"

"don't act like you don't know"

and they smiled, after the dinner Nick went back to sleep on Joan's bed

"ain't you leaving" Joan asked
