chapter seventy two
Nick sat there alone looking through the window with loneliness, his heart pained.
he remembered Joan from earlier and her happy face then he smiled unconsciously,
when realization hit him
"no Nick not after what you went through, you were broken"
flashbacks....
on that day he confessed to Joan, every word, every sentence, from the beginning to the hurt him like hell. he begged her to not hurt him but she did.
when he left there he was shattered, he didn't even know where he was and where he was going.
their words surfaced
"no one will love someone like you, you are a murderer, a murderer and undeserving, you're not worthy of being loved, you murderer" he kept on hearing these voices saying that
he slowly slide down and his tears couldn't stop
"they were right, I must be really unworthy of love, for Joan to say it means it's the truth, I don't want to live anymore"
he was traumatized, the reason for him living has left him, now there was no reason to live.
he loved Joan a lot, his love for Joan was out of the world, he devoted his life to her, she became the pillar of balance in his life and for her to say as such, he was hurt badly
his head started spinning the moment he got up, he held his chest and it was hurting
"it hurts....sobs..... please... stop hurting..,.. please sobs....,... please" he kept on repeating
his eyes became blur and he didn't know where he was and where his feet was heading to until he got hit hard by a car, all he could hear was screams and slowly his eyes closed.
the person who had hit him was Mr. Bruce.
he rushed him to the hospital and he was in coma for a year and half.
during that period Joan, his friends and parents kept on searching for him but they never found him.
The day he woke up
"Joan!! Joan!!! where's Joan, I just had the worst nightmare, I have to see her"
when he woke up Joan was the person he was thinking about, they tried to stop him
"how long have I been here" he asked and they told him
"Joan must be very scared, I have to see her please just once" he said and Alice decided to go with him just to keep him safe
he first went to his parents and it seemed they were fine without him so he left besides he couldn't face his mom.
when he got know where Joan was he headed there but he saw Joan with Callum and she was smiling, it seemed everything was going on perfectly
