chapter seventy four

he cried in the arms of Alice like a child

he was so unsure of what he was just about to do, he wanted to end it all

"what was I about to do? what.... what did I tried to do again? I can't believe I am this weak" he said

"no you're not, for you to carry all this love for one person means you're really strong. Nick I want to help you, let me help.....let me help you heal...tell me everything about yourself so I can help you.... please...let me help your mind" Alice said and he just stared at her.

he didn't want to die, he wanted to live, so he agreed, and now he's being doing fine.

he thought he was fine but seeing her was he really fine?

he thought he was going to put their meeting behind him, he might never meet her again but he meet her again when he came to his company, he saw her amongst his team at the office

"wow is this how destiny wants to play" he said in his mind and the worst of it all she was the Personal assistant to His branch manager Mr.luke, meaning he had to see her everyday.

when Joan saw him as their boss, she was really happy, her Nick was doing fine, she kept on smiling at him through out the whole meeting with the boss after that day she noticed that he was avoiding her, he never gave her a glance but maybe she really deserved it.

she one-day found an opportunity to be alone with him, Mr. Luke wasn't around and she had to do his work and Alice had something to do so it was just the two of them.

through out the work she stared at him the whole time but gave answers to what he wanted.

he couldn't breathe

"stop looking at me" he said in his mind

"thank goodness we are done" he murmured as he turned his chair away from her before he could get up and leave for fresh air

"I am sorry.... I am sorry Nick.....I am....." before she could finish he left in a hurry, he stood there unsure of what he feels.

after a while someone came to him, he thought it was Alice but it wasn't

"Alice..." he said as he turned

"you, what are you doing here" he asked a little annoyed, he tried to leave again

"listen Nick I am sorry for that night, I know you are angry at me but I am sorry please let's go back to the way we were" she said

but he just smiled

"go back to the way we were? that's never going to happen, and don't flatter yourself I am not angry at you but at myself for devoting my life to someone like you, all the whiles forgetting to be me, I chose to be what you like, what you want, what you dream about and that's definitely not your fault it was my decision in the first place, I lived for you. I gave you all myself and little to myself and I took it all back. Joan leave me alone"
