chapter seventy five

" Joan leave me alone so I can be me" he said as he tried leaving again

"your mom didn't mean what you heard, she has not been well after you left, please go look for her she's worried about you" she said and left

he couldn't sleep because of his mom so the next day he went to see her

" Nick my Nick I am sorry for those words" his mom said as she kept on coughing,

he became scared as he asked for the cause

but luckily it was something that can be treated.

he spent time with them and Joan just watched, Fred came around and they bonded very well. he was ok with them, it was just her, it was just her he didn't want, she left there crying

"are you ok?" Kimmy asked

"he doesn't want me "

"and. you're fine with it, fix what you broke Joan" Kimmy said

the next day she returned to work and decided to do what he said " to leave him alone"

" why are you resigning" luke asked

"nothing, she said

"I can't approve this for now, please Joan you can't leave right now that the boss is here, I need you please Joan..... please after he's gone you can go.... please"

she decided to stay but for Luke,

she did her best to hide from him.

on days she wasn't around his eyes searched for her, but he couldn't find her, and he was annoyed a little

one-day. he walked on to see her and Luke laughing at each other,

"are they that close" he said

what fueled his anger was he saw Callum bring her something to eat then he made a rule to not allow anyone else who isn't part of the team to enter the office if not for official duties nor allow anyone bring food there as they have their office canteen.

he didn't like it that Joan was not bothered about him again

"she needs to be guilty of what she did to me, she can't live as if that never happened" he said so he made her his personal assistant

what he didn't know was that was what Joan actually wanted, she was going to fix everything

Nick having Joan before his eyes was not the best choice but he couldn't help it that the guys at the office were always finding time to look at her and admire her. she really was beautiful now that she looked like a woman, she was stunning.

Alice had also been around, and Joan didn't like the feeling.

Joan sometimes wanted to choke her and tell her to her face that he knows him better because that's what Alice everyday wants to prove

"don't do this he doesn't like that, don't do this he hates that, don't do this, do that" was her everyday anthem

and Joan was pissed but did she have that right?

one-day she walked on to hear

"you're important to me"
