Ruka’s Determination

A minute after the call, Kazuya's doorbell rang.

'She really was waiting outside…' Kazuya opened the door.

"Hi, Kazuya-san!"

"Ruka…"

"Tell me something. If I can convince your girlfriend to share, then would you agree?"

"It doesn't work like that, Ruka. You're hot, sure. But I don't know you enough to actually like you. At best, I'd be willing to have freaky sex with you every once in a while. But that's it. I'm honestly not romantically available or interested right now."

"It's fine. I know that I can only love you, it's all fair game. You can do whatever you want with me. You're the only one who's ever gotten my heart rate to go above 80." Ruka leaned in front of him, showing him her cleavage in an attempt at seduction.

Kazuya's expression was twitchy as he thought that he might just end up doing it with her.

'I'd rather go out on a date with Mami instead of you… I'm pretty sure that you'd end up bombing my relationship with Chizuru by constantly competing with her for my affection and Chizuru, being the tsundere she is, would let Ruka walk all over her…'

'Ruka might even try a false pregnancy scare to tie me in…' Kazuya was thinking of Ruka as some sort of big bad when she was just a lonely girl who was too desperate and wanted some love and warmth in her life.

'Should I just drop her on Chizuru…' Kazuya was looking at her big expectant eyes and felt his heart skip a beat.

"Come here." Kazuya decided to test the waters and brought his hand to the side of Ruka's head, running his fingers through her hair.

Ruka was not expecting him to actually make a move on her, but she still obeyed. She felt like this was her only chance to be with Kazuya and she didn't want to waste it. She was ready for Kazuya to do anything for this chance.

Bringing her in close, Kazuya looked into her eyes. He didn't see any schemes or deception. All he saw were her pure bright eyes that conveyed an indescribable emotion of vulnerability.

He slowly pulled her in close and noticed Ruka's breaths getting shorter and shorter with each passing moment.

He slid his hand to her waist and pulled her in closer. Their breaths mixed and Kazuya almost brushed his lips against hers with no more than a millimeter between them.

Ruka had her eyes closed in anticipation, leaving everything to Kazuya.

Finally, Kazuya pulled a fast one on her and kissed her forehead instead, then he pulled back from her, leaving her hanging in anticipation.

"K-Kazuya

"You're cute, Ruka. I'll give it to you. But I'll at least take you out on a date before we do anything physical. I've seen your determination and you can put that determination to use by talking to my girlfriend and convincing her to share. If she agrees, I'll take you on a date."

"Can I-"

"No, you cannot use my name. If at any point, Chizuru feels that I prompted you to convince her, then the deal is off. Although I love her very much, I'm a scumbag who wants more than one girl."

"I'll agree. Your girlfriend was the reason that I held off for so long on confessing my feelings to you. I was planning to confess my feelings to you the day after we talked, but when I came to your apartment… I saw you and your Mizuhara-san making out in front of your door and then going inside together. That was when I ran away…"

Ruka confessed her previous actions to Kazuya since she wanted him to realize her sincerity.

"It's okay, Ruka…" Kazuya patted her head, going around her ribbon hairband.

"You can talk to Chizuru, and don't you dare say anything hurtful to her." Although Kazuya let her talk to Chizuru about her idea, he wasn't going to let her hurt Chizuru.

After a few more sweet words and promises, Kazuya had her leave.

He dropped everything on over to Chizuru and let her deal with this troublesome brat.

'I'm basically single-handedly fulfilling her dream of being an actress for her, the least she can do is to take care of these troublesome brats that end up inadvertently falling in 'love' with me.'

Although Kazuya agreed to Ruka, he wanted Chizuru to deal with her. The situation would go two ways. Either Ruka would fail or Chizuru would successfully get rid of her. Or she would succeed and Chizuru would become more open to the idea of sharing him with other girls.

It was a win-win situation for him where he wouldn't even need to seem like the bad guy.

He didn't want a repeat of what happened with Mami's situation. His talking to her about it basically broke her heart and she was still sour about him being a scumbag who fucked another girl behind her back. Although he'd taken care of any insecurities that she would have, that didn't mean that she accepted his relationship with Mami.

Hell, he hadn't even introduced her to Chizuru yet.

Ruka would serve as an amazing catalyst for introducing Chizuru to the fact that he has girls that he cares about other than her.

After she left, he was finally able to get back to his game. Sadly though, she took up quite a bit of his gaming time and he still wasn't able to finish his game.

That night Kazuya slept like a baby in Chizuru's arms.

The script had been finalized, and Kazuya had already talked with a good film crew and introduced Mini to them. She was going to be working with them and conveying his intentions when he isn't present.

Although, since he's going to be directing the movie, there would be a lot of direct communication between them and Kazuya. Mini was there as an official mediator whom they could approach in the absence of Kazuya.

The next few weeks were going to have them very busy since they also needed to find the second lead who was going to play grandma Sayuri's rival and the antagonist of the film.

Kazuya had also squeezed in a cameo for himself, it was going to be a special scene for Chizuru that would be present at the end of the movie. He knew that it would be a very heartfelt experience for her.

It was going to be a surprise for her since he hadn't shown that part of the script to her.

'I also need to find a set crew… I'm sure as hell not going to go running around for meaningless things like water and food. They'll be taking care of the basic needs of everyone on the set. We need a makeup artist too… So many more people to hire.'

In these two weeks, Kaguya had also set up a rudimentary entertainment company and Kazuya was now working through Nexus Entertainment. This had quite a few benefits. The main benefit though was that hiring people as a company is just so much cheaper when you're a company. Hiring people as an individual has far more complications and tax issues.

As a company though, all the processes were already streamlined since the contracts were established and the tax problems were also taken care of. Although, a lot of that stuff had to be credited to Kaguya whose help was just invaluable for Kazuya.

He made sure to appreciate Kaguya for her work regularly since he didn't want her to think that he takes her efforts for granted.

Although he was working toward everything regularly, Kaguya was the reason that he was even able to develop his indie movie with Chizuru without being bombarded by countless people and problems related to Nexus Tech.

She took care of all the internal processes of the company and she was so efficient that she didn't even seem to be overworking herself.

"Kazuya… I think I found someone who would be good to play the role of Naomi, the antagonist, and grandma's rival."

"You did?" Kazuya was baffled.

"Yeah, I did. Why are you so surprised."

"I don't know. I thought of you as a very anti-social girl who has no more than two people that she talks to in college."

"That's offensive. And I have three friends…" She looked to the side, embarrassed since Kazuya's words were kinda true.

"Hehe… You're so cute." Kazuya hugged her and gave her a loving kiss on her forehead.

"Who'd you find anyway?"

"You remember that rental girl that Kuri brought on the double date with us?"

'Somehow, I'm not surprised that Ruka played it like this…'

"That girl who called you out on being a rental girlfriend?"

"Yeah, her. Do you remember her name?"

'Like hell, I'm answering that question.'

"I'm sorry babe. I only have eyes for you. I didn't care to remember her name." Kazuya smiled awkwardly as if he felt guilty not remembering the girl's name.

"Hm…" She seemed to nod inwardly at his answer.

"Her name is Ruka Sarashina. I already checked out her acting skills and she's plenty good so I think that she'd do well playing the character of Naomi."
