Fury

All through the night until the following morning, the atmosphere at David Kingston's mansion remained electrified, tense, and gloomy.

The mansion staff members and the numerous bodyguards practically held their breath anytime David was a few inches close to them. They all knew the repercussions of stepping out of line, especially whenever David was in one of his toxic moods.

David on the other hand went to bed but barely slept. He spent the night making call after call, looking for any slight information about the gang that disrupted his masquerade party and killed his seventh general.

He was unperturbed by the number of injured or dead invitees to his masquerade party. He didn't even bother sending any apology messages to the victims of the attack. All he yearned for was justice for his destroyed properties and an attempt on his life.

After a few long hours of calls and deliberation, David finally closed his eyes for a brief sleep. However, when he shut his eyes, he was tormented by nightmares of his late brother.

By the following morning, David called for an emergency meeting with his six remaining loyal generals and his most prized assassin.

He was desperate to know what each of them had discovered from their various individual Intel. He had already placed a one hundred million dollar bounty on any information about the unknown Atricon gang that was after his life.

Even though he had spilled a lot of innocent and guilty blood out of rage, his bloodthirsty demons were far from being sated. This wasn't the first, second, or third time that he had narrowly escaped from the hands of this ghost gang.

The fact that this gang had chosen to haunt him for no just curse remained a mystery to him. He had tried tracking and wiping away any threat from his past life but still, the gang kept coming like an evil locust.

Not only were they stealing from him, but they were also wreaking havoc in his empire that took him years of blood spilling to acquire. And they were destroying the confidence most of his business partners had in him.

When all six generals arrived at David's grandeur mansion, the butler briskly led them to one of David's underground voice-proof and bulletproof meeting rooms.

All six middle-aged but sturdy generals were elegantly dressed and elaborately decorated according to their ranks and achievements in David Kingston's' empire.

While the six generals were all seated and discussing in hushed voices, a secret passage door to the room suddenly swung open.

Everyone in the room held their breath as Fury, David's lethal assassin slowly walked into the room sharpening her glistening double-edged sword.

She slowly turned her head from side to side critically scrutinizing everyone's horrified face as if she was looking for a traitor to torture.

When she saw that all the generals were about to pass out from holding their breath, she turned towards the left wing of the room and walked to the corner. Taking a sturdy posture like a Medieval Knight suit of armour, her frosty eyes kept watch of everyone in the room.

At this point, everyone in the room breathed a sigh of relief as if they had all passed a deadly examination.

The generals were always in an apprehensive mood anytime Fury was in their midst. No one ever knew what she was thinking or who she was looking at, due to her full face mask.

They had never been privileged to hear what her voice sounded like or see her eyes. She never spoke nor did she ever laugh even when everyone including David was laughing.

Once, David's ninth general made a simple but expensive joke out of her in David's presence. Even though David was amused by the joke, the general lost his head at that very moment through one swift wave of Fury's sword.

Ever since then, all of David's remaining generals were always careful about what they discussed around her.

The Fury, as she was popularly called within David's secret society was a masked female. She was always dressed as a black knight ninja. Aside from David, no one knew her identity.

Fury was David's most lethal and ruthless assassin ever created. It was said that David recruited her at a very young age and personally funded her rigorous and inhuman training.

It was believed that Fury had no soul due to the way she dispensed justice any time David unleashed her. She was never seen around David in public or at home except on rare occasions when David needed her to be involved.

It was also rumoured among some of Daniel's home staff members that Fury worked undercover for David. However, most of them refused to believe this gossip. They argued that the girl under the mask would be as hideous as the devil and David had no ugly female employees in his numerous companies.

When everyone was fully settled in, David briskly walked into the room through the same secret passage door that the Fury had earlier taken.

Everyone stood up at his presence but he quickly ordered them to sit down with a simple wave of his right hand.

"I won't beat around the bush!" David spoke in a deep raspy and terrifying tone while standing.

"This infernal gang has bitten more than they can chew. Not only have they rubbed me of one of my most prized possessions, but they also had the effrontery to destroy my Artlyn palace which took me years to build."

David's scrunched face and riled gaze were like the blazing sun at its highest intensity. Every direct and indirect expression displayed by him conveyed his fierce ire.

"I have lost my patience with this Atricon gang or whatever name they call themselves. They are parasites that are eating into our system and if we do not eradicate them now, we will be left chasing our tails between our legs."

David paused for a while and took his seat. He bowed his head temporarily as if he was meditating. Then lifted it and focused all his attention on the sixth general, wearing a deadly but sly look.

"So far, this gang seems to know everything about us. Not only have they been eliminating us one after the other, but they have also been doing so meticulously according to our rank. Hence, G6(sixth general), I think you are next on their list. Hence get ready for your untimely demise if you act stupidly just like G7(seventh general)."
