Troublesome

" You, leave! Now! " the man thundered again scowling at Rom gritting his teeth, ready to grab Rom by the scruff of neck like an unwanted pet.

Rom couldn't help but wonder about the man in front of him, despite the huge difference between him and the man, he couldn't help himself and stay glued to his spot.

Rom's eyebrows raised, while he carefully watched the man and studied his posture and unsually large body. If he would attack, he would have to defend himself and he wasn't ready to leave just yet. He wanted to know more about Edýia and what he was so afraid of, that he wouldn't let his sister leave the house.

Placing his hand on his hip, close enough to the hilt of the sword but no too close as he didn't want him to think that he is planning to strike.

" You're are not from around here are you?" Rom asked while he kept his eyes on the man in front of him waiting for him to answer his question.

" I told you to leave!" the man uttered in grave voice while he pulled his sword out and pointed it at Rom's neck, its tip a hairs distance away from his throat.

" You aren't as scary as you think!" Rom smirked while he pushed the sword to the side following it with his eyes, while he peeked at the man from the corner of his eye.

The man took a step closer while this time Rom was the one that pulled his sword and pointed it at the man's groin, looking into his eyes that were filled with raging fury.

" One wrong move and the jewels are gone!" Rom smirked again while he kept calm and composed, knowing well that emotions in battle are the worst thing one could have.

The man chuckled " Bold move for such a small thing like you!" he huffed in annoyance while Rom's lips curled up in a wicked smile and pushed the sword closer to his groin making the man frown.

" Tell me! Where are you from?" he asked while looking up at the man towering over him, that glared at him ready to rip his head off the first chance he got.

" I can't believe the nerve you got, to come to my door and threaten me and my family!" the man uttered a little in disbelief, displeased with Rom's attitude.

Rom scoffed " You pulled the sword first! We could've just talked!" he stated truthfully, glaring at the man in front him.

He had no intention to fight anyone but the reason why he refused to leave was Edýia, he wanted to know more about her and this mountain of a man was in the way. He saw no other way than stand his ground and he still couldn't believe, he did all that for a woman.

" Heran! What is the meaning of this?" another man interjected in their conversation while approaching them.

Silence fell between all three man while Rom and the other man waited for Heran to answer.

" This one is being a curious moggy and wants to know, where we came from?" Heran mocked while pointing his sword at Rom, who lifted one eyebrow in question when he heard Heran calling him a moggy.

The other man chuckled " It must be a fisty moggy then, since he is got your crown jewels!" the other man mocked while he moved closer to them, keeping an eye on Rom.

Rom kept his eyes on the man in front of him, feeling the blade on his neck since the man approaching was no threat to him, for now.

Remembering what Edýia said, he could only assume that it must be the other brother and he hoped that he would have more brains than the one in front of him.

" He is a stubborn moggy! I asked him to leave and he is not budging!" Heran smirked while he looked down on Rom, feeling superior to him since he was considerably bigger and stronger.

" Put the blade down, Heran! No, more bloodshed! We came here to escape it, and here you are pulling your sword the first chance you get!" the other man scolded while he pulled the blade away from Rom's neck.

" Now tell me you stubborn, curious moggy! Why do you want to know about us?" the man asked in a calm voice while he shifted his attention from Heran to Rom

Rom frowned, clearing his throat " Your sister! I want to know more about her?" he truthfully confessed while he turned his attention to the other man, that seemed more reasonable than Heran.

Heran burst into a fit of laughter that quickly turned into a scowl, and in a split second his sword was pointing at Rom's groin " You must be joking! This is the closest you'll ever get to Edýia!" Heran hissed while stepping closer to Rom poking at his groin.

The other man sighed heavily " Heran! She will have to wed someday! You can't keep chasing every single man away just because you think they are not worthy enough of her!" the man tried to reason with Heran.

" No living man is worthy enough!" he deadpanned while Rom frowned, understanding how Heran felt.

Rom nodded " I have a sister too! I know what you think and you're wrong!" he used his sister as a trump card hoping to sway Heran to let him get close to Edýia

Heran face lit up " Is she red like you? I like reds!" he suddenly burst out cheerfully while looking at Rom with wide eyes and mouth opened.

Rom nodded and let out a silent of relief " She is and she is very beautiful!" he praised his sister, relieved that he can finally breath without the fearing that his head might fall at any moment.

Heran lowered his sword, sheathing it in the scabbard " Is she wed?" he asked while looking at looking at Rom waiting for his answer, hope was gleaming in his eyes.

" Not yet! She is betrothed to a man that she likes!" he replied truthfully, he saw no reason to lie seeing that Heran was already pining for his sister and he hasn't even met her.

Heran frowned "Oh! That's a shame!" he regretfully replied having his hopes crushed before he even got a chance to see the woman.

Rom sheated his sword as well, seeing that Heran was no longer in a fowl mood " So, where are you from?" he asked again seeing the spirits have finally settled and he really wanted to know, the two men looked wildly different from the citizens of Hessia.

Much stronger, broad shoulders with muscular arms and legs and sharp distinctive features. It didn't take long to one with enough brains to realise that they weren't from around those parts.

" We come from the Northern territory, from a place called Gaerwen!" the other man replied in a calm voice while placing his hand on Rom's shoulder.

Rom turned to look at the other man " My name is Rom!" he introduced himself while extending his hand for the man to take.

Shaking Rom's hand " My name Dakran, but everyone calls me Dak!" he stated with a warm smile a stark contrast to his stature that was considerably larger than his.

" You said about bloodshed?! Is there a war going on in the North?! Rom curiously asked while he let go of Dak's hand, as far as he was aware of, there was no war going on between any of the northern nations.

Dak chuckled " You do not waste time, do you?! You'll be under Edýia's skirt in no time!" he stated in amused tone of voice, patting his back with his big hand making Rom almost lose his balance, while his cheeks furiously burned bright red at the mention of Edýia's skirt.

Heran burst into a fit of laughter " Tell me you've been with a women before?" he asked raising his bushy eyebrows at Rom that just shook his head and looked down to hide his face that suddenly burned hotter that the summer sun .
