XXVIII

She once more sat in the room with the table and two chairs. Across from her sat Him. She had started to simply call him Doc due to the mask He always wore when visiting her. He came every few days to bring her to this room from her cell. He took one person a day though she was the only one who seemed to ever return. No one knew what happened to the others after they left the cell or why it was she was the only one to return.

Each visit to this room was the same. They would sit across from each other, staring and not saying a word for some time. Then the questions would begin. Where was she born? When? Who was her parents? Are they still alive today? Where do they live?... Every day she would tell him more and more about herself. She had no idea why she answered each of his questions truthfully. Though she also knew that she didn't have a choice and so saw no point in lying about it anyway.

They were currently discussing the events surrounding her 16th birthday due to in her religion, she was old enough to wed and her parents had informed her two weeks prior that it was also her engagement party as they had a pre arranged marriage set for her since birth.

"But unfortunately everything changed for me that day. My whole family was slaughtered. Only me and my brother Cody survived. Cody was older than me by two years and took it upon himself to look after me. He got a job as an errand boy for this top notch private security agency.

After I finished high school, he sent me on to college. After graduation, I served 5 years in the special forces then joined up with my brother's company. He had been working with the same company since the year our family was lost. Together we quickly climbed the ranks. When I joined Cody had already made mid field op. But by the time he died, we was the top two field operatives the company had.

It was his death that lead us to investigate Phatt Tonie's. He had been sent undercover to infiltrate and gather Intel on the 

unknown Trinity Organization. When we found his body, he had left me a note pointing to Phatt Tonie's Meat Deli. The raid on Phatt Tonie's lead us here. Know you know everything."

It was silent for a while after that. And then without another word, He stood up and led her back to her cell. Before He left, He stopped, looked around and then his gaze finally stopped on Ben. A look of horror swept over Ben's face as he was lead from the cells. However unlike Jess but like all the others before him, Ben never returned. And for once, He stopped coming by to collect Jess as well.

As time went on, one by one the mysterious man dressed all in black with a plague doctor's mask to hide his face came by the cells and removed the captives. It was only five and a half weeks after Ben was taken before Dave was the next to go. Eventually five and a half months after the raid on Phatt Tonie's Meat Deli, only Jess, Duke, and Phatt Tonie remained. Three weeks later and Duke was removed. Three days later and it was Phatt Tonie's turn.
