Accomplishment

PART 1: ELEMENTAL SHAPE

Raymond and Katie were in Katie's room which was no different than Raymond's except for the alignment. Her room's window gave a view of the beach. They both sighed. They had been trying everything they could in the past few days to control their Elemental Areas, but it was all in vain.

"This is a lost cause," said Katie. "I thought maybe after these many days, we'd be able to pull something off."

"Same here," said Raymond. "We need books on this subject to read. We need a library."

Katie lied down on her bed. "Books are boring. Libraries are a waste."

"What if they had a cafeteria with cakes?" said Raymond. Katie shot up. She was hyped up and reached too close to Raymond.

"Take me there!" she said.

"I was joking!" Raymond said, pushing her head away.

"You should not joke about cake," Katie said, lying down again.

"I do have an idea for getting help," Raymond said. He got up and left the room. Katie was confused. She got up and followed him to ask,

"Hey! You meant an idea for searching a library with cakes, right?"

Raymond walked downstairs quickly and knocked on Master Wyngaf's door. The door opened. Master Wyngaf was reading a book. Two walls were filled with books on the shelves.

"We want some advice in Solidifying our Elemental Energy," Raymond requested.

"I have been hearing this a lot from your minds, this is the first time I heard it from your mouth," Master Wyngaf smiled and closed his book. Raymond and Katie wondered how far was Master Wyngaf's range when it came to reading minds.

"Regarding your advice," Master Wyngaf said, "I can only advise you to feel superior to your Elemental Energy, it's your energy, don't bend to it, bend it instead. Also, use your mind to control its form."

"It'd be quite helpful if we manage to understand your words," said Katie, scratching her head.

"Try using happy memories," said Master Wyngaf.

"I got it," Raymond said with excitement.

"And," Master Wyngaf reminded, "I'd suggest you keep your Elemental shapes a secret."

They were wondering why that would be.

Master Wyngaf smiled and said, "It is because people like me can see your Elemental shapes. This can cause a problem even if one of you falls in a battle where your opponent is like me. In serious cases, people die because of their Elemental Shape breaking. Even when your opponent cannot see your Elemental shape, just knowing about it's shape can do a lot of harm which you cannot understand as of now."

Raymond and Katie stood there in amazement. Then, Katie said with a grin,

"Don't worry, Master. Raymond and I will try not to kill each other in the future."

"Thanks for the advice, Master," Raymond said before they left.

Raymond and Katie went back to Katie's room and started meditating. They are silent, the sound from the seashore waves could be heard. In no time, they were in their Elemental Areas.

Raymond was standing on the rocky cliff. The chaotic weather was still the same. But Raymond was smiling this time. He knew he had fewer memories that could be called happy. But he was confident about his birthday party 2 years ago. It did not matter where he was happy that day or not, all he had to do was get happy visualizing it. And he was really happy.

Raymond concentrated and used his hands and this time, the rocks turned into dust immediately. He looked up at the sky, Thunderous clouds vanished in a minute. Then he looked at the sea and its waves became normal. Flames in the bushes reduced. Within a second, everything around him turned into dust and he was now standing in darkness with tons of dust at his feet.

Raymond exerted a force as Master Wyngaf had said. He tried to bend the Elemental Energy. He moved his hands accordingly. The dust began to gather at one point. That point formed a huge sphere of dust and then it magically turned into steel. Raymond was now standing near a steel sphere, seeing his own reflection in it. He smiled.

Katie was inside her Elemental Area, standing beside a huge toroid. It emitted sparks of lightning in specific places making it look dangerous. She smiled because she did it with ease this time. A picnic with her dad was all she had to remember to make the task easy.

Katie opened her eyes, Raymond was sitting beside her. His face had a smile.

"I did it. Could you?" said Raymond.

"We did it," said Katie.

Katie immediately hugged Raymond in happiness. They broke apart and clashed their fists.

Downstairs, Master Wyngaf placed his book aside and smiled. He looked at the ceiling. He had heard Raymond's and Katie's mind. It was a great accomplishment. Master Wyngaf concluded they were ready for their Elemental training.

PART 2: PRESIDENT'S MANSION

A view of the huge, beautiful mansion was mind refreshing. There was a park, a swimming pool, and huge parking with multiple cars. The lights from the park, path, and the mansion made the scene peaceful under the moonlight. The sound of crickets was pleasing.

Inside that mansion, there was a lavish room. It had expensive T.V., lights, furniture, and tons of books on the shelves. This room was Eve Langman's. A young girl at the same age as Raymond and Katie. She was sitting on her study table, writing something. She was in her nightwear which indicated she was ready to sleep. She looked at the newspaper beside her, it was the same Master Wyngaf had been reading a few days ago. The headline was,

"The president is hiding something!"

She finished her writing on the paper. She got up. A glimpse of the last two lines which she wrote on her paper read,

"... if you want to keep this a secret, you'll do as I say.

Love you, Dad."

She walked to her closet where she had been packing her stuff to go somewhere.

PART 3: BASICS OF ELEMENTAL POWERS

Raymond and Katie finished their training every day. They always got tired in the middle of their daily 5-kilometre run. They sometimes had to tug each other turn by turn to make things easier. They even struggled with every other exercise Master Owens put on this list. He even kept adding more exercises every day. He would wake them up every day at the time of the sunrise to finish their daily schedule.

A few days later, Raymond and Katie were lying tiredly on their exercise mats at the beach, too tired to walk in the beach house. The waves splashed the shore making a calm noise.

"When will this hell end?" asked Katie.

"I hope it's a rhetorical question," said Raymond, " because I don't think it will."

Master Owens walked towards them. He stood there for a second.

"Master, don't tell us you're adding something in our daily schedule without adding a black forest cake to our diet," Katie said.

"Nothing is being added. Not even a black forest cake," said Master Owens. Katie acted as her soul left her body. Master Owens continued,

"We're starting Elemental Training from today. I want to go over some basics."

"Okay, listening seems easy," said Raymond. He and Katie got up and listened.

"Okay. Let's begin," Master Owens started the explanation, "There are basic tricks. Like Manipulation of Element —"

Master Owens took out a lighter from his pocket. He lighted it up and waved his other hand near it. The flame grew twice in length. Raymond's face was full of astonishment.

"Then, we have the Generation of Element," Master Owens said. He put the lighter back in his pocket, brought forward his hand and flames generated around it. He snapped his fingers and lightning sparks came out.

"Generation is quite hard and needs practice," he continued, "but manipulation is easy. With your Elemental Areas stabilized, you must be able to do it with some practice."

"What should we manipulate?" asked Raymond.

Master Owens handed the lighter to Raymond and took out a tiny battery from his pocket and gave it to Katie.

"Start by manipulating these," said Master Owens.

"Yeah," Katie shouted in excitement, "finally something meaningful. I will practise and someday, I will become a Master."

"I'd like that," Master Owens said with a smile, "Rest, for now, we will start at noon."

Raymond and Katie nodded. They walked towards the house while Master Owens dived out with a wall of fire around him. Raymond and Katie entered the house. Master Wyngaf came out of the kitchen.

"Breakfast is ready. Wash up, and eat," he said.

"Sure," said Raymond.

"Master," Katie asked with dramatic respect, "I was wondering, could we have our evening's Red Velvet treat now? I know we have it in the Refrigerator and we have worked hard to earn it."

Raymond slapped his forehead. Master Wyngaf halted his wheelchair's movement and turned towards Katie.

"Katie, I want you to listen to me very carefully," Master Wyngaf said as calmly as he could. Katie dramatically moved her head forward in excitement. Master Wyngaf continued,

"Master Owens asked me to control the diet for both of you. So you're not getting any cake anymore. Not even a bit. Off-limits!"

Katie stood there, frozen in time and place. It was really hard to move her muscles after such a shock. She struggled and said, "Please! Don't take that heaven away from me!"

"You should try a career in acting, Katie," said Raymond.

"I would have," said Katie, "but they don't get to have cake as much as I do."

"Anyway, welcome to your nutrition-rich diet," said Master Wyngaf. He rolled in his room on his wheelchair.

Katie lied down on the couch and covered her face with a cushion.

"That's enough drama, Katie, let's eat. I'm hungry," said Raymond.

Katie mumbled through the pillow. "I don't wish to eat anything except for a Red Velvet."

"Okay then, starve, I'm going to eat alone," said Raymond, he began to walk towards the kitchen. The sound of a car parking in front of the house stopped him. Within a moment, a knock was heard on the door.

Raymond walked towards the door and opened it. Eve Largman was standing at the door. She was alone, there was no one else. It was rare for her as she was the President's daughter. She was in casual clothes, her red hair combed normally, no makeup on her face. She had red-framed eyeglasses on her nose. She looked pretty to Raymond. Her red car was parked in front of the door.

"Hi," she greeted Raymond, "Is Master Wyngaf here?"
