The Attack (June's P.O.V.)

I opened my eyes after somehow falling asleep. I looked towards my feet and saw Roxy still sleeping. I got up and went out of our home to look at the stars,

"So this is your home?" a voice asked from behind me. I turned around to see Jace and Dream battered up from the traps they triggered and I started laughing,

"This isn't funny little girl" Dream growled and took a step towards me, which caused Roxy to wake up and come running out of our home.

"I'm surprised you made it all the way here" I laughed out

"I'm surprised there are traps over here. How did you get past them?" Jace asked

"What do you mean? You think it's a coincidence that there are traps around our home?" I asked and Jace and Dream looked confused,

"Well, yeah" Dream responded and I fell to the ground laughing.

"I made those traps," I said after my laughing fit

"What?" You made them?" Dream responded surprised

"Yeah I did, how else am I supposed to protect my home in the woods?" I asked

"True" Dream nodded in agreement.

"Wait, how do you know how to make traps and how long have you been out here?" Jace asked

"Well making traps is easy, just think about how to slow someone down or hurt them and there you go, and how long I've been here doesn't matter." I responded

"Now if you don't mind I'd like you to leave"

"Woah, wait we can't let you stay here, you're too young," Jace said looking at Dream,

"I'm fine. Now go, please" I begged

"But…" Jace tried to say something else but Dream interrupted him

"She doesn't want to come, Jace, leave her" and so unwillingly Jace left with Dream.

"Finally peace and quiet" Roxy said as she pushed me back into the home

"We are going back to sleep," Roxy said as she shoved me back into our bed and I laughed

"Sure". I started falling back to sleep when I heard shouting coming towards our home; I got up and headed out with my stick and turned the stick into a bow and arrow, ready for whatever was coming our way.

"June!" I heard Jace's voice before I saw him

"What are you doing back here?" I asked pissed they came back,

"You have a huge wave of monsters coming your way" Dream panted out

"What?" I asked confused about what they were saying.

"We were leaving but we came to a stop when we were faced with a huge wave of monsters saying your name!" Jace shouted at me, there's fear in his eyes,

"Roxy, go look" I ordered her and Roxy slipped into the shadows.

"Jace, Dream help me set up the traps you triggered and we are also going to set up the attack system" I ordered

"Hey now…" Dream started to talk back but Jace stopped her

"We need to listen, this is her home," Jace said and Dream sighed before looking at me

"Let's go June," Dream said and I smiled before walking to the traps. I had Jace and Dream setting up the traps back up while I got the attack system ready

"June!" Roxy shouted as she came through the shadows

"Roxy! What's going on?" I aside

"They are coming for blood" Roxy responded with anger,

"Then let's give them blood" I grinned as Jace and Dream walked over to us.

"Here's the plan," I said to Jace, Dream, and Roxy

"We let them set off the attack system and fall for the traps, those who make it through Dream and I will shoot them with arrows before running behind Jace and Roxy, who will attack them with whatever means necessary," I explained

"Sound good?" I asked

"Yes, but what if we can't handle them?" Dream asked

"Then we run for our lives" I answered

"And we have just the place to run to" Jace smiled,

"Alright let's go," I said and we all nodded as we headed off to our positions. The screams reached us after ten minutes of silence

"Here they come" I whispered to myself as I turned the stick into a bow and knocked one of my bone arrows into the bow. Dream and I were ready for the monsters coming our way and then the first one broke through the trees; I let my arrow fly and the monster went down

"Here comes more Dream" I shouted to Dream as more broke through,

"I see them" Dream shouted back as she let her arrows fly.

"I'm out of arrows!" Dream shouted from her spot

"I'm almost out, so you head back" I shouted back

"No! June…" Dream started to shout but I cut her off

"Go! I'll be right behind" I shouted and watched her take off running,

"Now it's just me and you guys" I smiled as I let loose my arrows. I ran as fast as my little legs could go; I can hear them, they are so close, I have to run faster. I see the meeting point and I run faster and faster

"Jace! Roxy!" I yell with my last breath and collapse to the ground. Jace and Roxy jumped out and attacked the monsters that had chased me while Dream carried me over to our next attack point,

"Good job June" Dream said as she smiled at me

"Thanks, Dream" I smiled back. Dream and I prepared our arrows to help back up Roxy and Jace as they fought up close. Roxy bite and clawed at the monsters, while Jace used the sword he carried on his back to slash and stab the monsters.

"Jace! Look out!" Dream shouted as a Cyclops with a club came after him, Jace didn't have time to react and so I let an arrow fly right into the Cyclops' chest.

"Thanks, June" Jace shouted as he continued to fight

"You're welcome" I shouted back with a smile. The fighting is taking too long and our energy is falling,

"We need to run" I whispered to myself

"I agree" Roxy's voice spoke in my head and I nodded.

"Jace, Dream we are running!" I yelled so they could hear me

"Okay, follow us" Jace yelled as he ran past me

"Got it" I answered, and pulled a lever near me that allowed the ground around the monsters to crumble

"Goodbye, my lovely home" I whispered as I took off. We ran as fast as we could to this place Jace and Dream knew, but it seemed too far as the monsters who survived our attacks came running after us.

"Jace!" I yelled at him

"I know! We are getting close, just keep running" he shouted back, not evening looking behind him. There was something finally coming into view

"Watch your step" Dream shouted as she jumped around and I followed her lead knowing what would happen if I didn't. We were so close to safety, but one of the monsters made it past the traps and grabbed Dream.

"Dream!" Jace shouted and drew his sword

"Let her go!" I screamed to the monster

"Give yourself to us" the monster spoke into my mind

"No!" I shouted out loud and Jace looked confused,

"Just let Dream go!" I shouted

"Not unless you give yourself up!" the monster shouted in my head and I held my head

"Fine, you can have me just let Dream go," I said and walked forward.

"June?!" Jace shouted in confusion as he saw me walk forward

"Thanks for the fun Jace!" I shouted back with a smile and continued walking. The monster set Dream down and pushed her forward to get her walking,

"June?" Dream looked at me confused

"Don't worry Dream" I smiled at her

"Live a long life with Jace," I said as the monster grabbed me.

"June!" Jace and Dream yelled as they came running to save me

"No!" I screamed and they stopped

"Please, don't" I cried out to them

"June" Dream had tears in her eyes and Jace had a sad look on his face,

"I'll be ok" I smiled hiding my tears.

"June" Roxy's voice filled my mind

"Roxy?" I said to her

"You can save yourself," Roxy said

"What? How?" I asked

"Remember what you did to Tatsuran?" Roxy asked

"Yeah" I responded

"Imagine a dark light expanding around you that hurts and even kills" Roxy explained to me,

"Okay" I answered doing as Roxy said; I imagined a black light filled with pain and death

"Ahhh!" the monster dropped me as he screamed, there was a black light engulfing the hand he had held me in.

"Leave" I shouted to the monster, but the monster just laughed and came at me. I imagined his whole body filled with the black light and looked at the monster who stopped in his tracks, his body lit up with the black light and before he had a chance to scream, his body disappeared.

"Roxy?" I called in my mind

"He's dead" Roxy answered

"Okay, thanks" I replied and turned to look at Jace and Dream who stood a few feet away with shock written on their faces.

"June?" Dream called out

"Yeah" I responded

"You okay?" Dream asked

"Yeah, but I am tired" I replied with a smile as my body felt very heavy,

"June?" Jace called out with concern as he walked to me

"I'm fine" I answered, but my body wasn't fine and decided to collapse on me.

"June?" a voice called out to me from the darkness and I opened my eyes to see Dream and Jace looking at me,

"Oh hi," I said and they smiled and laughed. Jace explained that I collapsed after the monster disappeared so they carried me into this medical cabin,

"Roxy couldn't come in so she disappeared as well" Dream explained

"Thank you," I said to them

"We should be thanking you," Jace said

"Yeah without your planning we would have been toast," Dream said backing Jace up and we all laughed.

"Seems like you three are having fun," said a man who had goat legs

"Wait, what?" I asked as I pointed at the man

"I see that I came too early," the man said as he looked at Jace and Dream,

"Yeah we were just about to get there" Dream said as she looked at me

"Get to what?" I asked and they smiled

"Welcome to Camp Hermes," They all said to me.
