Chapter 14: Wrist Implant Messages

Maz, Eklun, and Nessa viewed the message Wren had sent. Maz shifted around in his seat, and prepared to send a message of his own.

“Message to Wren and Scion,” he commanded his implant. “Any updates on our family?”

His implant flashed a notification. Scion’s picture appeared on the screen. Maz tapped the screen to open the message.

“Three eggs hatched recently,” Maz read the message aloud. “Three girls: Ainsley, Asia, and Anya. Half human, belonging to the doctor here, and half elder race. They’re Skyla’s. Dr. Moses married her, and she laid the eggs. She was assassinated right after she laid the eggs. The girls are well. The patient who recently gave birth is also helping to take care of the girls. They are being treated well by Alayna and her husband Dannon.”

Maz exited the message.

“Obviously these humans are good like the ones I met on Earth,” Maz said. “I want to go in and meet my nieces, Dr. Moses, and Alayna and Dannon. I need to apologize to Scion.”

Nessa held her hand up, and said, “Wait. They may be kind, but we don’t know about the rest of the humans. We don’t know how many. They live in a dome, and Wren said there were a lot.”

“Also, probably high security,” Eklun added.

“I’ll take Jak,” he said, nodding to indicate his bodyguard.

He spoke into his implant, and said, “Scion, send us a map of the dome.”

A few seconds later, the notification appeared.
