Kaizen Attacked

Simultaneously, he heard a roar inside. A lion’s roar.

“Let it begin.”

Sevir couldn’t help step away from Kamiko’s protectors to look inside. A mighty lion leaped into the sea of oncoming attackers. Wait. Or was it a tiger? A white tiger? Its image flickered between two beasts. Illusion?

Regardless, the rouges banded together scattered at his leap.

Bailong snickered, “they are putting on a good show.”

Someone pulled him back into the encirclement. Sevir focused on the oncoming beasts. Amongst them, none were human.

The surrounding circle turned into a line, a wall of blue cloaks that shimmered as they moved.

“Protect the royal highborns. United attack and united retreat, only injure, no fatality until commanded,” saying Princess Kamiko stepped beside him.

“You will want to get back,” she said. Sevir stepped back and turned around. A wave of people was coming from the other side too.
