Fengyi's Request

Sevir had a general understanding of how difficult Bailong’s rescue of his family was going to be. The black dragon was after him and Bailong, both. Now that he was about to leave, run away like everyone else, the black dragon would go harder on Bailong.

He felt guilty, incredibly guilty. He was just like everyone else, just like mom, his dad, RuIng and the headmaster, running away like a coward, leaving others to face his problems.

Sevir raised his hand and stepped out of the house. The rustling from earlier was still there; int’s intensity increased, accompanied by many footsteps. There were many people and “they aren’t only coming from the south. They are coming from the north, too.”

Sevir waved for Bailong to follow him and hurried down the street. The sounds grew louder.

“They are coming from both sides. Hurry.” They ran downhill. Bailong’s head snapped from side to side.

“Be ready.”
