“You look exhausted.”
“I am. The office is far more taxing than the training room or the gang’s meeting. So many meetings and new people and everyone is smiling and greeting, but no one likes anybody. Don’t get me started.”
RuIng smiled slightly, indulgently. “Your grandfather wants to give you some distraction.”
Sevir sat straighter, rolling his eyes. “I think we wanted me to find out who within his company is keeping an eye on him. Just when I thought he was being good again, he went around and did it again. Why can’t he be just straight with me without going behind my back?”
RuIng dulled a little, “that’s how some people are. They do not know any other way to do things.”
Sevir groaned. “Forget it. Let us pick up where we left off. You understood everything about the phone?”
And so they went on with the lesson on modern devices again.
