Like an animal sent into the lion’s den to distract the lion from someone else robbing their cave. That’s what Sevir felt like as he walked away with Hiwaga.
Finding out that the voice in the crystal shard was not of the black dragon, swiped the feet under him. He had no more intentions of going to see the black dragon. But getting out of it wouldn’t be easy now, impossible if at all.
When the first glimpse of white turrets bathed in orange light meet his eyes, he paused.
“First, I talk to RuIng. Then we go.” Sevir tried to buy time.
Hiwaga hesitated to respond. Sevir pulled out his crystal and walked away from Hiwaga. A hand landed on his shoulder.
“Did I say you could go?”
Sevir silently slid her hand off and sat by the nearest tree. She gave him an aggravated look, but Sevir lit his hand on fire. His intention to talk to RuIng was too strong. Without calling, RuIng’s face filled the surface.
“Did you get there? What happened? Did you get out?”
