Flashback 33

The autumn equinox was a good time to try again. After learning a lot about each other, RuIng wanted to test it out again.

Sevir looked around, rolled his shoulders, stretched his body, tripped twice and eventually made it to the small waterfall stream in the middle of the park. Calling it a waterfall was an insult to the waterfalls. It was a thin stream of water that fells from the rocks above to the rocks below.

Sevir used to come here with his family sometimes, as his mother recounted places she rescued an animal or two while father and his friends did some early morning recordings. Sevir wasn’t used to using the crystal outside.

He looked around the stream again for some early morning runners and unexpectedly met a pair of eyes. He turned stiff but the running woman smiled appreciatively, “technology…” and kept going.

Sevir sighed, removed his socks and shoes, and entered the stream. Another passerby gave him a shuddering look because the winds had already become cold.
