Flashback 34

“If you try to pull one over me, boy, I will shoot you in the head.” A man nudged the end of a revolver in his back, straight into his throbbing wound.

“I remember he wants me alive, not dead.”

“Said nothing like that to us,” another man snickered. Sevir walked slowly, acting like he was in a lot of pain. He led them through the back allies into a ridiculously small storage area. They looked around apprehensively but said nothing.

Sevir did not feel nervous this time around. He smiled at the security guy who was used to seeing all kinds of situations, smiled at him ignorantly and raised a brow conspicuously. Sevir shook his head with a smile.

“You know him?”

“He knows me. And everyone who comes here. Naturally. He has seen worse than this.”

“Take him along,” the one that nudged his back said to his partner.
