I want to go

After that episode,

Camilla was curious whether Francis had a date for the evening. But she couldn't because Francis had already left. Camilla was feeling a little depressed. She was unaware of Francis's emotions. She did not know whether Francis liked anyone.

After gazing at Francis's path for a while, Camilla went out of the garden with a melancholy heart. Adela cleared the way for her, but she could not make good use of it. Camilla thought for a moment and breathed deeply.

[The scene has been changed to Adela's chamber]

"My princes."

Alfred called Adela with a beaming face.

"How could you possibly run in this way? You haven't entirely healed," Alfred remarked.

"Father, I'm so sorry. I was eager to meet Mother," Adela said to her father. Alfred gave Adela a pleasant smile.

Alfred patted Adela's head and said, "My love, you have no idea how frightened we were about your condition. Every day feels like a year to us."

Adela pondered for a moment and smiled at her father.

Adela's Aside.

I understand, father. I'm aware of how it feels. It appears I lost everything when you people left me here alone. I didn't even attend the funeral.

Father, I won't make the same mistake again. God gives me another chance, and I won't waste it.

Adela thought as she grasped her father's hand. Alfred asked abruptly, interfering with Adela's line of thought.

"I've heard you'd want to go to the banquet tonight."

Adela said, "Yes, father."

"But it's not mandatory, honey," Alfred said.

Adela shook her head and said, "Father, I'm OK. I can manage everything."

Alfred stared at his daughter, wondering why she had started speaking in a more adult manner.

After hearing Adela, he responded, "As long as you can manage, that's great. But Ian will be by your side always."

"Cousin?"

"But why, Father? He is your knight," Adela stated.

"Yes, but he doesn't have to stay with me tonight. Therefore, I'll urge him to stay with you," Alfred stated.

Adela was going to say something when Alfred cut her off and stated, "Only, for this reason, I will permit you to accompany us."

Adela pouted as her father spoke to her.

It was unfair. She wanted Ian to stay with her father. So, she had to do something about it.

Adela widened her eyes as she contemplated everything.

Adela responded cheerfully, "Father, Francis said he would stay with me."

Alfred narrowed his eyes as if he didn't believe his daughter at all.

"When did he tell you?" he asked with a tone of suspicion.

"He came here to meet me just a minute ago," Adela stated.

Alfred raised one eyebrow because he still had doubts about his daughter.

He asked, "Really?"

"Yes, Father, he came straight from the battlefield to meet me."

Adela then acted pitifully and said again, "Don't you think it will be bad now? I told him I would be his partner."

"He'll be upset, father."

After hearing his daughter, Alfred sighed. He was aware of how awful an actor his daughter was. But as long as she promised Francis, she should uphold her word. Alfred replied without objecting to Adela's choice.

"OK, I won't say anything if you just give him your words."

Adela smiled when her father granted her permission.
