After that episode,
Alfred put his hand on his daughter's head, and then he was about to depart the chamber. But he halted and turned around to face Adela.
"Adela".
"You may have heard that the first and second princes will attend the banquet tonight."
Adela froze like a stone when she heard her father's words.
Why the prince again? she wondered to herself.
Her heart started to beat remarkably fast. She didn't even bat an eye at those princes last time.
What would she do in this position? The chance to meet them was too good to pass up. She would undoubtedly meet them. She didn't want to meet the first prince, who had always tried to play it safe.
He was the mysterious person Adela had helped in a past life. But Adela had decided that she needed to meet him. She had to know the truth about the woman and change her luck at all costs.
Adela inhaled deeply and let it out gradually. She had to do this for her and her family's sake. Adela smiled and added, "I would have loved to meet them, father."
A smile cracked on Alfred's face. He appeared to be happy with his daughter's decision. Alfred nodded before leaving the room.
Adela sat down on the bed as Alfred walked out of Adela's room. However, a few maids appeared unexpectedly, and one of them stated.
"My lady, you need to leave the room."
Adela inquired with wide-open eyes and a bewildered expression.
"Why?"
"The Lord told us to help you dress up because you agreed to attend the banquet."
Hearing the maid, Adela got to her feet. She knew her father had sent these maids. So Adela didn't say no to them.
Adela said, "Let's go."
Elise was right there as well; when she heard those maids coming here to prepare her master for tonight, she was about to take the jewelry box, but a maid stopped her and said.
"The Lord instructed us not to use anything outmoded."
Elise asked in a perplexed tone, "What?"
Adela turned away from them and spoke to Elise in a low voice.
"Eli, ignore it. Take nothing."
Elise nodded and followed Adela. Adela wasn't interested in knowing about it, though.
But the maids lied to them because Alfred ordered them to. He gave the order to organize things completely differently. Alfred was aware of his daughter's intelligence and knew that if she learned the truth—that she had been poisoned—she would take action. So Alfred tried to find it on his way.

[The scenario has changed to Camilla.]
Camilla entered Adela's room and saw that the staff were busy rearranging everything. She questioned them after seeing it.
"What is happening here?" "Where is Adela?"
"Miss Camilla, Lady Adela has just come down with a fever. So we're trying to tidy up the area."
"And Lady goes to get ready for the evening."
One maid remarked to Camilla.
Camilla nodded her head but said nothing.
She had a lot to say to Adela, but it appeared the timing wasn't right.
After speaking to them, Camilla left the palace. She also needed to get ready for tonight.
