"It is my duty to serve you and protect our land, your highness," Francis stated.
"I am pleased that our kingdom is home to such brave warriors. I'm thrilled today, and thanks to your efforts, I have something to give you," the emperor declared.
Francis smiled pleasantly and bowed to the emperor once again.
"Knights, enjoy yourselves," Empress Alison grinned and said to the gathered knights.
The victory was Walachia's biggest achievement. Walachia gradually grew stronger than any other kingdom. It was the Walachia people's blessing that all the best sorcerers and most valiant warriors had a stronghold in this region of Walachia.
David and Camilla entered the celebration while Francis was occupied speaking with the emperor. The celebration had already begun when David and Camilla entered. David initially observed Francis and the Emperor. He saw how happy-looking the emperor appeared to be.
Since David was so familiar with the emperor, it was clear to him why the emperor was pleased. But he also knew that Francis was making his way toward the fire. That tyrant ruler would slowly devour Francis's power and manipulate him for his nefarious purposes.
With thoughtful eyes and a low voice, David murmured to Camilla, "Let's go; meet the emperor, Camilla."
Without arguing, Camilla followed her father and headed in the same direction. She knew exactly what her father was about to do.
David approached the emperor and bowed down to greet him, saying, "your majesty." Camilla did the same. "Your majesty," she greeted him as well.
The emperor clearly ignored David and asked, smirking, "So she is your daughter?"
"Ye-yes, your highness, she is my daughter Camilla," David said haltingly while staring at the ground. "She is also learning magic."
He knew where he was going and where he was attempting to push his daughter. David was bowing down to a lusty, self-centered, and greedy person. However, even knowing all of this, David chose to send his daughter to hell, even though Camilla was only an innocent flower with no concept of cruelty.
Draven said, lifting his eyebrows while stroking his beard, and sighing exaggeratedly, "David, we'll speak about it later. Tonight is a special night for everyone."
"Yes, your highness," David said, stopping to discuss the matter more. The emperor was intrigued, but not because of David's talks; rather, he was intrigued by Camilla.
The emperor moved his gaze from Camilla's bottom to her top. Although Camilla and David sensed the emperor's eyes on them, they remained silent. It was Camilla's first encounter with the emperor as an adult, and she was now being treated in a lustful way that she had never expected.
David was on the verge of pulling his daughter aside because he couldn't stand the atmosphere. Even though he didn't love his daughter, he couldn't stand how she was being treated. Perhaps he didn't actually despise his daughter, but was simply pretending as though he didn't give a damn about her. However, David abruptly ceased hearing the emperor's voice as he was about to leave with his daughter from that spot.
"You look like your mother, Camilla."
When Camilla turned to face the emperor, he was grinning wickedly in her direction.
