Chapter no.90 A Heart to Heart

I lay on the soft, cool grass, gazing upon the vast expanse of the night sky. The stars seemed to be scattered like glimmering jewels against the deep, velvety blackness, each one a tiny, distant sun shining its light down upon us. My body was relaxed, and the gentle breeze carried with it the sweet scent of nearby flowers, calming my senses.

As I lay there, I could feel the bristles of the brushsquirrel against my chest. Its soft, gentle touch was soothing, and I rubbed it absently, enjoying the sensation it brought. I was grateful for the small creature's presence, as it distracted me from the tension that still lingered in the air.
