Although Inis was a lower ranked species in terms of combat power and the skills she possessed, she had inherited the skill from her time in the dungeon which was already a high ranking and had helped to improve upon each of her other innate abilities or skills.
It made her a type of mutated or boss level species that transcended the species limits without the help of the aether energy or levelling system to do so.
Xeni on the other hand was a much higher grade of species which had been referred to in myths and legends as a god, demon or monster that possessed a large amount of different skills that were a high grade so her combat power and potential would be higher than the Gremlins and even Inis who had evolved or mutated.
There was still a slight difference in the individual energy levels which had allowed Inis to push Xeni away but that was not what had made Xeni back away.
It was the murderous aura which came from constant battles between life and death combined with her skill which only helped to slightly amplify her oppressive aura.
The moment that the overbearing aura was released towards Xeni, she could feel instinctively that she should not continue with what she was doing.
Xeni was embarrassed that she had failed to achieve her purpose since she was confident in her charms while she was left slightly frightened after feeling the aura released from Inis.
If she continued then she could imagine that Inis would no longer treat her as a potential ally but instead treat her as an enemy.
Xeni had already seen the result of how Inis dealt with her enemies although not personally but it was enough for her to have respect and fear towards her.
When being asked by Inis what made her do such a thing, Xeni had no choice but to tell her own story and the reason behind taking such an action against Inis. "So it was like that.."
Inis knit her brows and crossed her arms. "I can accept that… you had… your reasons but.. remember this. Do it again.. and you.. will not be.. forgiven. From now on… you must join.. hunting and find.. your place."
Inis was not against teaching those that were intelligent enough how they could better control and refine their energy to increase their rate of absorption or refinement but it would only be taught to those she had come to trust in.
She had not taught it to any of her own kind who were more compatible with the energy circulation method she was using because they would have a difficult time understanding and grasping the method.
Only species with higher affinity to energy or a higher intelligence would be able to understand her explanation or guidance as she would explain the correct route to take through the body but it was still unknown if other species would be able to follow the same pathways as her.
Every creature had different bodies and shapes so there was always going to be some that better suited different types of energy circulation methods that were tailor made for their bodies.
Unfortunately most creatures did not possess the same chance that Inis had gained once she had accept the baptism of the world's essence.
Inis had learned the most efficient way to circulate and refine her energy which suited her body while even the humans species had to spend a long time researching various methods themselves through trial and error.
Xeni put her hand on her chin and looked like she was deep in thought before she finally spoke up. "My race are naturally familiar with the forest and mountain areas, it is almost like plant life are our friends since we can empathise and communicate with them. The village chief was more skilled in controlling plants while many others had excellent talent in music too."
Inis rolled her eyes. 'Indeed.. while I am happy with my current innate talents, there are many out there which will have much wider ranges of abilities or affinities they can make use of. If I was to identify her path based on some of the things she has told me then perhaps it is best that she takes the role of a supporter, guide, gatherer or a ranged combatant.'
She was not too overly upset about that fact because some things could be overcome with her own knowledge and experiences.
Just because she did not have a wide range of dangerous abilities did not mean that she could not build upon further mastering the knowledge and experiences she had previously into her current body.
Usage or performing type skills may have been forgotten but what she had learned from them could be applied with the use of aether energy just like she had used the energy within herself during her time in the dungeons.
Inis did not yet fully understand how the outside world had developed because Xeni did not know much either but what she did tell Inis was enough to understand how fearful humans had become.
It made her identify that humans had developed in several ways but the most basic way to categorise their power system was by separating them into two groups.
Internal aether users trained in various ways to use their energy to aid enhance their body and surround their body or weapon of choice while external aether users had a wide variety of mystical powers which relied on their precise control of energy and their understanding of the path they had chosen to pursue whether it was towards a certain element like a mage, summoning or other paths.
While they were talking about various things, Inis heard the movements within the cave as many more new borns were coming from their cocoons.
Another two purple Gremlins had appeared with slightly differing figures, one had bulkier figure while the other seemed to be slightly wider. "Gik gik gik."
Inis called the others and started to put them through some harsh training and sparring while using up the remains of what had been brought back for the day.
There had been more than enough meat which would aid each of their growths so rather than journeying outside again, Inis had chosen to put them through some hell training.
A cruel smile appeared on the face of Inis as she stood over the panting and laid out bodies which had collapsed on the ground. "Have a.. little rest."
She then turned her gaze towards Xeni as her eyes travelled towards her stomach area. "Keep working… hard like this and… you should be… able to lose… that baby belly."
Xeni was no longer completely or partly naked and had been given some leather to put over her body but there were some parts left exposed.
They had not been made by a professional tailor and the resources were limited so Inis could only do so much to shape the leather, put it together and fit it around each body to provide some extra protection and coverage.
Xeni her the comment from Inis then looked down towards her stomach area with a look of embarrassment. "You did not have to mention it."
Inis smirked as she started to use whatever materials she had to build some more tools or weapons for those that were part of her current group. 'I really have become a leader of a small group of monsters..'
As the day was slowly coming to an end, there were several weaved baskets, short spears, daggers, clubs, arrows, a bow, quivers, knives, shields and pieces of clothing which had been made with the wood from the materials she had gained the day before.
There were some smaller bowls made from stone or bone and some ground herbs inside of them which could be used treating peoples injuries or to poison others.
A Satyress and six Gremlins were fast sleep as Inis sat sharpening her curved bone blades.
Her bat-like ears twitched a little and her eyes sharpened as she picked up on a noise outside.
She went to the entrance of the cave to investigate the source then stopped in place. "Wake up!"
"Gik?"
"Gihi?"
"Hm? What is happening?"
Inis looked back towards them and pointed outside. "Prepare for… battle!"
She came back towards the pile she had been by then threw some towards those that did not yet have any.
A short bow, arrows and a quiver landed near Xeni while an axe landed near the other strong looking Gremlin and a shield landed with a thick club near the tougher looking Gremlin. "Go!"
Inis pointed towards the cave entrance and then walked out after the others had left when they had finished equipping themselves.
