The tactic Inis was using had been reliant on several factors which could change the outcome that Inis wanted to achieve.
If the strength of those lured in was too large then it would only cause problems for herself and may draw them close to the battle that was finishing up on the location where the Gremlins were fighting the hyenas.
If more intelligent creatures that could resist the lure had picked up on the smell and had chosen to wait then exploit the situation for themselves then her plans would only be used to benefit others.
If there was a big enough battle happening then the noise could spread further and attract others that were much further away and the scent of the blood being spilled could do the same.
It was very important for to make preparations beforehand and to gather enough information by scouting the area so that no unexpected situations would happen.
Inis stood up in a high place and watched below with a leather cloth covering her face while a bow was pointed downward.
Once the smokescreen had begun clearing and there were some forms that were able to be seen below within the smokescreen, an arrow flew down towards one of them and landed somewhere on the upper body which caused it to lash out wildly as if trying to strike at the attacker that wounded it.
Another arrow flew down without there being much time passed and pierced another figure that had become more visible within the smokescreen then it had fallen down to the ground.
Another arrow hit the neck area of another shortly afterwards which caused it to pull out the arrow before bleeding out.
Another arrow landed on the back end of an animal shape which caused it to thrash around wildly before another had been more accurate as it pierced one of the eyes.
Even as the numbers had been reduced very quickly and the smoke was clearing, the remaining creatures had fought on and did not see Inis who was shooting arrows from a more advantageous position up in the tree.
The pain and injuries they suffered only helped to make them wish to take down those that had possibly injured them while a small amount tried to flee after coming to their senses and regaining their sight once again.
Those that had moved away from the others had been targeted by Inis to help reduce the numbers and the possibility of them straying into the territory of the Gremlins and Inis continued firing until she no longer had arrows left to fire.
Once they had run out, Inis had switched over to some short bone spears and threw them down towards those that remained.
There were a mix of different creatures that were between being ordinary in power to being at the ninth stage of the first realm and each of them had been lured in to fight among themselves by a single Gremlin.
Their total numbers from the various creatures in the area had amounted to more than twenty five but each of their lives had been lost due to the tactics used by Inis which showed how effective the knowledge she had gained from her previous life was still relevant to her current life.
Nothing much had changed in the abilities and other characteristics of the lower powered creatures that came from the dungeons or were influenced by the power called Aether.
Whether they would change in anyway once they had reached a certain stage of power was still unknown but with the present environment, Inis could use certain methods effectively.
Once the smoke had cleared and there were no longer any creatures below that were on their feet, Inis had climbed down and took out her curved bone blades then slashed towards the throats of each creature that had still shown signs of life.
The final struggles to hold onto their lives was cut short by her bone blades and they bled out from the fatal wounds that had been inflicted to their bodies.
A small figure stood among the corpses and began dismantling the bodies as she started collecting many useful materials that could be used in a wide variety of ways. 'This just confirms it that not a lot has changed since those days.. at least for this stage of power there will still be the need to collect different types of herbs and such but eventually I may run into times when such methods will need stronger herbs or bones to prevent any chances of failure.
Sadly there most of the herbs around here are only low grade and the bones collected are reliant on the power of those I have defeated. I should consult Xeni and get her help for such matters since she has a better sense for nature based things.'
Inis made sure to collect the things that were more important then dragged them back with her before heading back to her camp.
A piece of meat was in her hand and was brought to her mouth as a large amount of was bit into and swallowed.
The refreshing feeling of the stronger energy that spread through her body once she had swallowed the meat had let her know that what she had done was worth the effort. 'Aaah.. this feeling is not bad. Even if the meat is raw and I prefer to eat it cooked, it is still good that I can just eat it like this and to gain the immediate effects from it. Such powerful and rich aether energy will definitely help me grow more powerful.'
A wide grin appeared on her face as she finished off a piece of the meat then took out another during the time she spent to reach the territory of the Gremlins where she was greeted with the sight of the injured and remaining Gremlins who were feasting on the dead bodies of the hyenas without stopping.
Those among her own group had joined them and had only suffered some very light injuries which showed they had followed what she had asked of them and had tried to stay away from the location that was the centre of the battle. 'Not bad… I have not lost any of them and they have gained a little more experience in combat. Hopefully this will aid them in their future battles to help them fight smarter.'
After putting away her things inside the cave, Inis called for the others to join her in going back to collect more from the dead bodies she had left behind.
When she had their assistance to dismantle and move everything, the area was cleared far more efficiently and then her cave had been filled with all kinds of animal parts.
A Satyress and a group of small Gremlins had gathered around a fire and feasted on the cooked meat that came from the bodies of creatures that were much stronger than them and they had eaten until they became full.
Whenever Inis was completely full, she had sat down crosslegged and circulated her energy to more efficiently absorb and refine it before she went to have some more.
Xeni was not able the to eat anything near the amount that the Gremlins had been able to due to the Gremlins possessing a stronger stomach than her but she did feel the small gain in energy within her body that needed to be absorbed.
Just as she was about to rest up to allow her body to adjust, Inis stood in front of her and said. "Wait.. must test.. some..thing."
Xeni titled her her to the side a little as she was looking downward which showed her confusion. "Hm?"
Inis pointed towards a deeper part of the cave and said. "Better to be.. quiet. Follow me."
There was something that Inis wished to confirm and Xeni was the only one that could help her due to the Gremlins possessing a lower intelligence and understanding to certain things she had told them.
