Day Four #7

Once they were further away from others where it was quiet, Inis began to explain. "I want to.. help you absorb.. energy. Just follow what.. I say. Sit down first."

Xeni did not fully understand the meaning behind the words of Inis but had sat down. "Okay but what do you mean exactly?"

Inis continued as she circled around to the back of Xeni then spoke. "First we will.. begin with.. breathing. Breathe in slowly."

Xeni breathed in and air filled her lungs then she continued to hold her breathe silently. "…"

Inis continued to explain and guided Xeni. "Breathe out slowly… no slower.. less forceful. Back in.. faster…slower..good."

She continued to guide her once Xeni had grasped the rhythm of the breathing for the first time. "Now repeat.. I will correct.. your bad habits."

"Ah.."

"Huu.."

"Aaaah."

"Huuuu."

"Aaah."

"Huuu."

Inis explained to her. "Expel the bad air.. and inhale the good… then repeat. Good now keep… it up."

A little more time passed as Inis was guiding Xeni the went on to say. "Better.. now we move onto… the next part.. the energy within.. feel it within yourself…. As you breathe.. try to grasp.. a similar feeling… as if the energy within.. is just like.. air within your body. As you breathe… guide it."

"Good but do not… fail in breathing."

"One mistake can make you.. lose that feeling and.. control."

"Good.

Now there is some.. movement."

"It seems that.. you may be compatible.. after all."

Inis was clearly very excited as she went on to point towards a point on the back of Xeni. "Start to guide energy… to here…from here.."

"Stop… try again."

"No this is.. wrong."

"Better."

"Okay.. now you have the… first part."

She continued to move her finger along the back of Xeni and guided the path where the aether energy would circulate according to what she knew.

What she was passing on to Xeni was the method to circulate aether energy that had been formed from pure world energy being circulated throughout her body.

The method was probably one of its kind for a living being other than humans or other similar races had the use of.

Due to it being formed from the world's essence, it was in its purest and most primal state while it should be compatible with all kinds of energy or creatures that exist on her world so she needed to test it out.

There could be exceptions to certain body types that lack a build similar to a humans due to the same circulation method not being so easy to pinpoint each point on the body to circulate to.

For example, it would be much more difficult to find the same point on a wolf and correctly link up all those points to complete the circulation method without error unless someone had a profound amount of knowledge of each creatures body and could identify those points or if the points were in completely different locations on their bodies.

As she had suspected, the circulation method was compatible with Xeni once it had been put into practice and they had spent a long time getting her familiar with it.

A Satyr with the affinity to nature or plants was still very close in nature to the world essence.

There would exist many forms of energy or in other cultures there would be many categories or subcategories for how those energies or truths are defined.

One being the essence of a thing, another being the essence of a species and another being the essence of human.

Many philosophers had often argued many concepts in all kinds of ways but once the dungeon era had become real, a lot of those long discussed essences or ideas had become very real in the form of skills and magic.

In some previous texts, the essence of those skills or magics along with the understandings gained during the mastery of them had been referred to by some cultures as the truth, dao or the way.

Sword qi users that had mastered their skill to the point of gaining insights and improving upon it would be said to have sword energy that was formed from the dao of the sword, sword truth, the essence of the sword or the way of the sword.

Not every human was successful in having their natural energy take form due to their poorer comprehension but Inis had gained blade qi during her time within the dungeons.

There were all kinds of monsters that were of a higher level that had gained a basic understanding of how to use their energy to provide their skills with more power.

The essence of the world or the way of the world was one such dao that could not easily be understood, it was very high up in terms of difficulty and complexity while it had so many ways that were below it and were connected to it in some way.

The truth of nature, plants or life just one among many others that were sub categories to the truth of the world and that meant that while Xeni did not change her innate type of energy that was a part of her body, the method was compatible with her.

The Daos on a higher ranking were far more difficult and complex to master for humans and other intelligent races but they were worthwhile due to their higher potential and power that could be used.

Inis was not human so her innate energy was not as easy to change or guide in a certain direction with the help of a specific refining and circulation method or through gaining certain insights during training but there were still a number of different skills which could reflect on how she would grow in the future and how her own energy would take its form.

The innate potential within her was fixed on what her innate abilities or skills were but that did not make them weak or without potential once their essence or dao was looked into further.

Even a skill like deconstruction had its own meaning behind it that had a lot of potential as a dao and it would follow something similar to the way of deconstruction which had similarities to the way of destruction which was a very high grade dao.

Her newer skill would have its own dao that was more related to her species evolving to become a ruler type and it had the additional usage once her enemies were brought down to the ground so that dao was in no way to be underestimated for its potential.

The amount of creatures that reached a higher stage that had been lower grade with less combat potential and a smaller build would not get that far in gaining enough power to explore their hidden potential before they died but Inis had a feeling that her own potential would be useful once she had reached such a stage.

It may not make her stronger in anyway but it would be something to aid in her combat potential against all kinds of enemies.

Without a much wider variety of skills that she had, Inis needed a very good nature of energy to aid her to help her adapt to her present body and the new world she was living in that was very unpredictable then she could worry about how she would progress further with her own dao.
