Inis was angry over the attack on her race but it was not to the point where she wished to settle the score by killing just about anyone.
It became a stealth based task for her to fulfil so that she could get revenge on them for killing those slightly close to her, destroying her own cocoons or stealing her belongings.
The first task was to do quietly slip inside of the village to gather intelligence and to see how humans had progressed but it was just as important to take action to secure things that she would need to survive.
Her own survival was prioritised over her grievances and her own desire to strike back was not large enough to take a big enough action against the village that could result in the deaths of many people living there that were innocents.
Everything that was destroyed or stolen by her would set the village back enough that they would be unable to safely launch another attack on their surroundings for some time unless they had some backup supplies or their own private weapons that were stored in their own homes.
The main supply may have been cut off but it was uncertain if there were other places that had some things stored away.
Inis did not worry about there being a large amount being left over since she had destroyed more than enough from the main supply without alerting them.
If there were some other weapons in other places then it was unlikely that the villagers would want to risk using up their remaining supplies on seeking out Inis or those around her when they needed to keep what they had for emergencies.
If the village was suddenly attacked and they had nothing left then it would not be long before the creatures outside would be able to gather in larger numbers and would be able to get past the walls.
The guns may have been destroyed or stolen but she did not destroy their cold weapons so they still had a means of survival and to defend their village from attacks even if they ran out of other supplies.
Even if Inis wished to take some form of revenge, she would not let the lives of innocents like the children of the village get caught up in her feud.
If she wanted a full out war then she would have taken a more direct approach or would have gone around assassinating anyone that she came across without checking who was actually guilty of taking action against her fellow Gremlins.
The weak children and elderly could not be held accountable for the actions of those that had entered her territory and she was not cruel enough to make them suffer such a fate.
If someone called her soft hearted or that she was lacking in proper resolve to take more extreme actions then she could only say that she did not want to use her power to pick on the weak or those uninvolved with any of the events or goals she was responding to or working towards.
So many people had their characters tested in the dungeons and once someone had encountered many difficulties, they were often faced with making extreme decisions which could have led them to doing them more regularly.
Someone that did one bad deed like using someone as a shield to avoid harm would live on and could do it again.
That action could evolve into actively pushing others into a group of monsters or going as far as using others as bait or distractions for a dungeon boss so they could get the experience from the skill.
Even worse people or groups would go as far as taking the loot for themselves and silencing others in their group to stop others from gaining a percentage of the loot and to silence anyone that could tell the outside world of what they had done.
Others outside of the dungeons would use their forces or resources to try to put hunters under their influence so there were times when humans related to the hunters were used to threaten them or they were even targeted by those seeking revenge on a person.
The dire times required cooperation between humans so such groups were later more strictly enforced up and they were branded as criminals the moment that they had been discovered to have a long history of suspicious deaths in each dungeon raid.
Inis had believed along with many others that their only option was to work together for the sake of humanity without putting individual interests as the priority but the moment that victory was in sight and there was no longer a great threat, human greed and malice had manifested once again.
Inis was too late to realise that once the threat was no longer there, there was no longer a need to stay united and many were already plotting in secret to further themselves.
Even if she was betrayed and had learned a little from her past mistakes, there was still some form of code that she would live by.
If there was a score to settle then Inis would be the one to settle it with the person involved and would not drag others into it.
The people on patrol may not have even been involved so there was no need to confront them or to risk drawing attention to herself so she had made her way back through the forest safely while avoiding any creatures that were active during the night.
Once she reached the tree where the others belonging to her group had been settling into their new home, Inis climbed up and put the bag down before making a trip back to the village.
Several trips were made in and out without alerting anyone during the night until the sun had rose up into the sky to awaken the villagers.
The village head who had found that his storage room had been raided had suddenly fainted in a fit of anger.
The people that were near him had run over in a panic. "Village head!"
"Quick call a doctor!"
"What happened?"
Each person was in a panic over the village head fainting and had later found out about what had happened which caused many to be scared that someone or something had entered and left their village during the night while they were all fast asleep in their beds.
