After weighing the pros and cons of what she had done to those in the village, Inis had drifted off into a peaceful slumber.
There was no guilty feeling inside of her and she was quickly able to drift off into an undisturbed sleep due to the fact that her actions mainly affected those that would be on the front lines of any future battles.
Those that relied on the guns would be the ones to suffer the most casualties and that was her aim.
If the village was able to survive the way it had then they would either soon be destroyed or there would not be any major threats nearby to threaten them.
If there was some kind of battle that happened in the future then those involved would begin to suffer casualties but the losses would not be that much in an ordinary battle and it would only cause them to be wiped out or to affect the other villagers if a monster wave happened.
The chances of a monster wave happening to them was much lower than every before due to the amount of monsters that Inis and others had killed recently so the chances of the villages final line of defence being destroyed was very low.
The warriors of the village would be the ones to suffer in the end and there was less risk to the innocents that were uninvolved.
If Inis really wished to do further harm to the village then it could have been just as easy to destroy the food supplies or the crops that were growing.
Even tainting the water supply would have been enough to get her revenge just like the previous options but those would affect everyone in the village so Inis was more comfortable with the way she did things.
Anything that happened to the village would first affect those that made an enemy of her and it would be some time before they could recover or regain the same means to defend themselves.
By the time that they were able to do so, Inis would have already had enough time to build up her own power and if they were still hostile towards her then she would be happy to face each of them in combat.
Once she woke up from her peaceful and deep slumber, Inis had checked over the bags full of things that had been stolen then took out a couple of small pieces of see through stones that shone a little as the light touched them.
There was a faint fluctuation of Aether Energy inside of them that Inis could pick up on which had shown that they were pieces of the lowest grade of Aether Crystals that could be found during the time when she had entered the dungeons.
She stared silently at them for a little while as if she was contemplating something then she stepped out of her small hut that was closest to the central part of the tree. 'Hopefully this will work.'
Once she was in front of the others that had been called over, Inis had spoke up while handing out a small piece of the crystals one at a time. "Try to absorb."
Humans had not found a method to absorb the energy in the stones and if they had, the method would have been developed after the Dungeon Era had come to an end.
If there was a method to extract the energy to allow humans to be able to absorb it safely then Inis was not aware of it.
The only method was to use the most crude methods available to her and those around her.
Before using those methods herself, Inis needed to stabilise her own energy and needed to build a firmer foundation before she attempted to increase her power any further.
Once it was time to increase her own strength once again, she would have already gained the results from those around her to check over if the crystals would be useful to her and would not have any side effects.
"Kikiki!"
"Gaga!"
The moment that Inis had placed a crystal in the hands of each of the Gremlins, they excitedly snatched it from her and consumed it right away.
They greedily took it away and consumed it on the spot so that it would not be taken away by others that may have coveted it.
Once it entered their mouths, crunching noises followed before each of them had gulped as they swallowed it.
Their Aether Energy was rampaging throughout their body not long after and they had to rest to let their energy settle and so that their bodies could adjust to their growth.
The lower stage Gremlins had increased their power by two to three levels of power while others in higher stages had only increased theirs by one.
The main issue was that while their energy levels were much higher than before, they still needed some time to make it their own.
Their bodies underwent different stages where their energy had settled down but others may have had a little more difficulty which was quickly overcome once they expelled that energy by producing a new cocoon that contained that energy.
Each crystal that was given to them was not the exact same size and contained the same amount of energy within them.
Not all of them contained purer forms of Aether Energy and they may have contained some other forms of contaminations or impurities, testing them on the others one by one was a better way to figure out which crystals were better to use.
Her fellow Gremlins became the ones to be the test subjects of the Aether Crystals so that she could better identify their usefulness and to more efficiently make use of the crystals for herself.
Once she knew how much was dangerous to her own kind, she could make adjustments based on her own bodies capabilities.
One small crystal was placed in the hand of Xeni but her green eyes stayed on the crystal before she had pushed it back towards Inis. "I cannot eat this and it is useless to me. You keep it."
Sue continued to stand there and played with her long brown hair that was being twirled around her finger, her green eyes had shone with a hopeful gleam as she asked. "Did you bring anything else back from your trip?"
Inis let out a sigh as she had taken the crystal back and then replied. "Clothes?"
Xeni had been running around in nothing but the rags and poorly made leather clothes that were made from the different creatures that had been skinned so upon heading that she would be able to better dress herself, she showed a small smile. "Show me!"
She excitedly followed behind as her hooves made small noises as they tapped across the places she stepped over, once she arrived inside of the main part of the tree where Inis had kept everything, Inis had removed a bag then started removing some things.
Small pieces of clothing that would normally be used by humans in different sizes were brought out with a variety of different colours and designs that Inis had stolen from several places in the village.
