Day Eight #2

Once Xeni and Inis had been changed into their new sets of clothing that had been robbed from the village, they had inspected how the clothes looked on their bodies before forcing the clothes onto the other Gremlins that were unwilling to put them on at first.

Xeni had her goat lower body half that was covered in brown fur and had hooves along with a goat tail.

The only features on her upper body that were not human were her goat ears and the horns on her head, the rest of her human features made her look beautiful in the clothes but her stomach area still needed to be worked on to improve what had been done to it.

There was no harm that had been done to her pale skin and her beautiful appearance had been further amplified by the clean clothes that she had put on.

Her long wavy brown hair was parted in the middle which showed her bright green eyes that had inspected the clothes as a smile appeared on her plump lips.

She wore a black vest top that was paired up with a green skirt that reached her thighs and was longer on one side which had some brown leather straps on the waist area.

Meanwhile Inis was wearing a mixture of clothes that had fit her along with some additional alterations that she had made.

She was wearing a dark purple vest top, long dark pants that had rips in them which was paired up with a modified coat.

The coat was made up of different creatures leather and fur which had created a dark fur hood that could be pulled over her head while it the coat itself would provide some extra protection for her body which could be left open or closed.

It took her a little time to make the modifications with the materials and tools that she had found but it had came out well even if she was not a skilled clothes maker.

Underneath the coat that was shown due to it being open were several belts and straps that had the sheathes attached for the knives or guns that she had placed under her coat that were secured to her waist or upper legs.

The upper body clothes were slightly larger to fit her body but the pants pants that she had wore were modified to allow her shorter legs fit into them better.

Her dark green skin was barely shown under her clothes since there were some cloth straps that were tied around her arms and legs then around her hands and feet so her purple markings were not shown off.

Her purple hair was tied back and her magenta eyes had shone brightly which had been her most defining features that went well with her choice of clothing while the dark green skin helped her to better blend in with her environment and the darkness.

Once her hood was pulled up over her head and the coat was pulled up, it would further conceal her appearance and the only feature that would stand out in the darkness would be her glowing magenta eyes.

On the outside of the coat were some extra straps that had appeared to be a part of the sheathes that were attached to her back and had the hilts of the curved blades sticking out at each side while the two hilts were arranged to cross each other.

Unlike Xeni who was naturally beautiful, Inis was not blessed with the same good looks and did not wish to show her monstrous appearance to others so she had the hood that could be pulled up to hide her appearance if it was needed.

Each of the other Gremlins had wore different styles of clothes that suited each of their personalities but there were still some that had preferred to stick with their previous clothes that were made from the pelts of those they or Inis had killed.

Some of the girls dressed in prettier clothing, others wore simple clothes, others had a slightly edgy look about them while others had just kept their barbaric and savage look but they had each worn or kept some leather clothes that were in the shape of a coat or robe for times when they needed an extra layer of protection.

Inis had turned towards Xeni and asked. "Satisfied?"

Xeni had nodded her head happily but then said. "I do not know how to use those stones that the others had eaten and I cannot eat them too so it would be wasteful to give them to me. If there is anything that is more suited to me then I will happily accept it.

Thanks for the new clothes too, I feel much warmer and better protected now. Hehe."

Even if they were monsters or another humanoid race, they still had to deal with their natural environment and any kind of things that surrounded them to be able to survive.

The smallest things that humans took for granted would not be thought of to be used by other creatures or races that existed so they had to use what they had or would have found.

Different kinds of weather and even the slightest wet and cold weather could affect their health if they were not careful enough.

A small open wound could get infected and cause sickness or death without a means to treat them.

Even if there were some races or creatures that had immunity or resistances against some things, they were not invincible to all things and there were some that did not have those advantages.

A simple animal pelt and some poorly made clothes had helped everyone to keep themselves warm during the day and night while others without them could have been very cold.

The lower half of Xeni may have been warmer due to her fur but her upper body was not the same and she would have suffered a lot from the cold.

Considering the conditions that she was living in previously, it was already a miracle that she and others had managed to survive and give birth without dying before Inis had come to their rescue.

There had been some herbs and medicines that had been taken but there was not a very large supply that she had taken since there was only a need to take enough for herself and others.

If not stored away properly or handled well enough then what she had taken away could just as easily be damaged or destroyed very quickly so Inis had got to work that same day by ordering the others to gather wood from the surroundings once they had finished absorbing the energy in their bodies.

Once everything was neatly packed away in wooden boxes that she had built, Inis had thought to herself. 'The crystals have proven to be useful and are much better than other things for my growth so I doubt that I will have to consume monsters anymore.

I should leave the useless parts of the dead to the others and I should only use the purest forms of energy that can be gained from natural resources. Xeni cannot consume the crystals like us Gremlins so she will have to grow using fruits and herbs.'

There was a clearer picture of how everything worked so she had spent some more time building a better defence up in the tree while adding some traps to the surroundings on the ground below.

Once she had some free time to herself, Inis had sat staring at a small crystal and then threw it into her mouth.

Crunch.

Crunch. Crunch.
