Day Twelve #2

Another fight was taking place after she had taught the others their place.

The Gremlins were cheering on as they watched from the sidelines. "Gakaka!"

"Woo!"

"Kekeke!"

Their excitement had grown once the intimidating presence and atmosphere had been removed.

The overall atmosphere had become a lot lighter and there were several weaker Gremlins that were fighting in the middle.

Each time that Inis had pointed to one of them, they had to fight and they took on another of her choosing.

Those with a certain level of power were split off into their own low, medium and high groups which they had been placed in to fight each other.

The low group were those that were just newborns or had not had too long to increase their own power.

The medium group were those that were made up of a much larger population of them all who had been able to raise themselves to the middle stages of the first realm.

The numbers of the high group had yet to be filled but those closest to that level of power had been moved over even if their numbers were very small.

Those in each groups had to fight one on one with each of those in their own group to help them gain more combat experience and to help establish the rankings of each of them.

It was not like Inis could see their status and talents just by looking so she had to carefully watch how they fought each other and who among them had come out on top or had shown quicker growth than others.

If they were all placed against each other with a wider gap in power then it would be very difficult for Inis to spot some of those that had potential among those that were weaker than the others.

Each of their movements were being watched closely as she had studied them carefully so she had a much easier time understanding their various strength and flaws during each fight.

Some had lost early on until they had started to win more of their last fights which had shown that they had talent for combat.

Others had some bad habits or were using fighting styles that were unsuited to their body type but Inis had more than enough knowledge and experience to be able to find a path for them.

If one of them was more suited to the use of a certain weapon or style of combat then she made a mental note to prepare something to improve upon that.

Inis stepped out into the middle once again then pointed her hand out towards Xeni. "Come."

Xeni stood with her finger pointed towards her face as her eyes widened. "M..me?"

Inis nodded. "Come and fight."

The surrounding Gremlins looked towards Xeni with interest in their eyes and they started to cheer as they expected another fun fight to be shown.

"Kikiki."

"Gahaha!"

Xeni stepped out towards the middle where she was stood opposite Inis then raised her fists. "Ready."

There was little warning before Inis had ran forward straight at Xeni which had caused the lower body of Xeni to kick towards her smaller body.

The hooves on her feet looked very dangerous and tough so they could cause some harm to Inis or the other Gremlins but they did not even touch Inis.

One kick was sent toward Inis but she had stopped herself and stepped to the side before swinging her arm out towards the leg before it had a chance to be pulled back.

The force was enough to knock Xeni off balance a little but she had been able to regain control of herself.

Her combat experience was much lower but her natural abilities could not be so easily underestimated.

Inis may have been stronger in terms of her realm of power but Inis was still much higher in terms of species grading so she had a lot more physical and innate advantages that Inis lacked.

The power that the smaller body of Inis had released was still not enough to knock her off her feet with one move but there was something unexpected that had happened.

Inis had disappeared from the line of sight of Xeni and moved closer to her rather than moving back or to the side.

Inis pushed past the raised leg and went under the line of sight of Xeni to reach towards the leg that was keeping her stable and standing.

If there was anything she had learned from dealing with all kinds of creatures of the dungeon then it was to knock them down first to allow for it to be possible to land a more aggressive and fatal blow to them.

So many large creatures of the dungeon were difficult to injure due to their tough physiques and higher weak points that were usually well guarded but there were many among them that had big weaknesses due to their bigger size.

Most had been much too bulky and slow while others had problems dealing with those smaller than them that could escape their detection.

Usually it had taken a large group to be able to keep them distracted long enough for them to be attacked by those that could create opportunities for others to be able to land the fatal blow but Inis had a lot of experience.

She was not always someone that had worked with others in a larger group and there were times when she had took on bosses of dungeons all on her own.

Not every boss was so easy to deal with and not all of them were built the same so there was always a need to use different tactics and strategies against them.

The Satyr race were among those that had been the residents of one or more dungeons that Inis had visited and conquered so she was more than familiar with how their bodies moved, their various patterns and innate abilities.

She had provoked Xeni into attacking her by moving into her range by faking a straight on attack before manoeuvring under her line of sight where she took out her lower body.
