Day Twelve #1

Inis opened her eyes and she looked over towards the figure that had stepped inside of the room.

It was a much taller figure that had half the body of a human and the lower half of a goat, brown messy long hair, green eyes, goat ears, horns and a tail.

Xeni stepped inside cautiously and spoke up in a hurry. "The little ones are starting to wake up. There is a small disturbance nearby too."

Inis lifted the loose purple hair that covered her face then started to tie it back into some braids. "One moment."

Once she had found a change of clothes and had equipped herself with everything she had needed, Inis stepped outside and looked around herself.

The Gremlins that had come out were busy playing among themselves without a care for their surroundings and occasionally threw something through the air which almost hit anyone within the area.

Xeni was stood to the side and kept her distance from them before greeting Inis who had come out. "It is about time.."

There was a large amount of unease in her tone of voice as if she had a hard time and had a couple of grievances.

Inis understood just by looking around her what was happening and sighed. 'These damned brats got a little powerful and they are already thinking themselves as being able to do as they please.'

Her fist hit her palm before her knuckles had cracked and she repeated the same with her other fist. 'It seems that these brats need to be taught a lesson.'

There was a big division within the group of Gremlins based on those that had power and did not.

Among that division that had formed, there was Xeni that had been excluded and had to put up with their bad behaviour.

It had not been that big of a problem when they were under the constant watch of Inis but once they had been given a little freedom, they had started to misbehave.

It was like they had forgotten in a short time who was their boss and how they should act so Inis was feeling a little displeased with them.

It was within their nature to be naughty and mischievous so it was not like she could control or change them but there was still a certain expectation that she had for each of them.

A true leader should be able to reign them in and she possessed the kind of innate ability that had some influence over that.

That influence had disappeared over the time she had been training but it was very easy to make them remember.

A cruel look appeared in the eyes of Inis which had caused the nearby Xeni to turn her face the other way.

Xeni thought to herself. 'I am not looking forward to what is to come.'

It did not take too long for Inis to gather up all of the Gremlins which followed up with her calling them out to fight her one after another.

A purple Gremlin had charged towards her recklessly and jumped to grab onto her waist as its mouth was wide open to bite down onto her. "Aah!"

A very subtle movement was made as Inis had sidestepped the bite while her fist was raised up above her head. "Too easy."

A dominant aura had come out of her body as she stood in front of the slightly smaller Gremlin and her fist was brought down onto the back of their neck.

The Gremlin fell down onto the ground with its face first then it could feel its back being pressed down upon. "Ah?"

The foot of Inis had stepped on top of it and a chilling murderous aura had come out of her which had been aimed down towards the helpless Gremlin.

Her hand reached out towards the back of its neck and started to squeeze it a little until it had stopped moving.

Once it had lost consciousness and no longer moved, Inis removed her hand and then used her foot to flip over and sent the body rolling towards the others. "Next."

She called out another one and took them on just like the others but it had ended with their quick defeat and humiliation.

First she had defeated them with her own fighting experience but after that had come her murderous and intimidating aura that came from within her bloodline that had suppressed them.

There was a need to teach them who was above them with force and to let them feel the bloodline suppression that came from her that let them know who their boss was.

If they had a bad enough experience like they just had then it would not be so easy for them to forget it.

If they did forget once again then Inis would just have to remind them once again who their leader was.

She stood in front of the Gremlins that had been shaken was awake and the much weaker ones that had been spared. "No favourites. You bad. You punished."

It was true that Inis had given benefits to certain Gremlins in her group which may have led to their getting a little ahead of themselves as they started to think they could form their own groups but that was only due to them being around her earlier.

Those that had that head start before the others had an advantage over the others but that would not be something that would last.

If they fell out with her and lost her trust then it was very easy for her to find some among the new borns to replace them.

The groups and their leaders for each unit had not been made final so anything could be changed.

Even Xeni was among those that could be replaced by another if she was unable to show her usefulness or decided to not participate in group activities.

The rules applied to everyone and everyone was given a chance to get stronger so long as they continued to contribute.
